    I've always said that if folks don't like Māhūs then they should not come to Hawai'i. It has been a part of our culture for hundreds of years. Love the video. An important piece of Hawai'i history.

    There is a place for Mahus in Polynesian Culture and we should be more tolerant for those that are different. In my extended family there are 5 and they are treated with dignity.

    I used to work for HPD....a sergeant had told us cops that back in the day HPD busted Bob Jones parked in a car with a Mahu downtown....
