As an introvert, I know that feeling very well. Taeyeon and I can relate in so many ways so maybe that's why I love her so much. I feel really bad for her though. She honestly didn't do anything wrong yet she's getting bashed by immature people. I hope she continues to stay strong and that she focuses more on the love us Sones are giving her rather than all the hate. I don't want her to cry hurtful tears anymore D: She deserves nothing but great things because she's an amazing person with a blessed heart.

BAEKHYUN HAS RUINED MY LIFE I don't ship BaekYeon but that doesn't mean I hate them. I really love the ep 8 of taetiseo especially when they talked about Taeyeon. The producers let us see the real Taeyeon behind the screen. I rewatched the stages and shows in her earlier career, she smiles a lot and love to talk. She is great as DJ, MC etc. Thats where she captured my heart. After IGAB, gradually she become quiet and lonely. Her image started to disappear and people only know her as SNSD Taeyeon the singer, Taeyeon the Jessica's bully, Taeyeon who loves younger dongsaeng or Taeyeon the attention seekers. Geez! Of course she is scared to speak up now. Everything she did is looked as negative.

Considering she's a high risk of depression and the fact mental health is super stigmatized in Korea, it's likely she's just suffering. She can't get help because it becomes public knowledge, so chances are it wasn't sudden, but it gradual.

When I first heard of Taeyeon being depressed, it was maybe last year in August. I didn't think it was fake, or anything, but I thought the sole reason was because of the hate she got from dating Baekhyun.
Her troubles pile up, and she is probably the most hated Girls' Generation member all over the world. Her personality is relatable to many people, as many people are introverted. Taeyeon said she doesn't have many close friends outside of SNSD, she has friends all over the idol world, yeah, but not any _close_ friends that she can tell anything to. Her personality is restricted, because she doesn't want to show too much and possibly give something away or show off too much. Her personality isn't dull, it's very complex.
"I don't want to be alone, but I want to be alone." Is an example of the complex personality some introverts have. I have this type of personality trait. I like being alone, being alone in my room or something for a little. But it's when you truly feel alone. When I hang out with friends, or come home after a day at school or with friends, when I come home and sit on my bed alone, it really hits you. The deep, complex feeling of emptiness, like she said here. It kinda, _eats_ you alive. This is where depression starts.
Depression starts with this feeling, it may be for a second, or maybe a minute. You take a deep breath, and it goes away. But it continues, for a bit. This continues until you take a breath, it goes away for a second, but then it's back. Your mind wanders back to the same position. Taeyeon shows her life on stage and on TV, but like she said, she is a modified version of herself. But we never get to see her other self.
Girls' Generation, despite their huge popularity, is one of the most hated on girl groups. That may be for reasons that just because of their popularity, but surely three of them are quite hated on. Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Jessica. Taeyeon, because of her depression and her personality people view as fake, and because she's dating Baekhyun. Jessica is hated on because of her icy cold personality. She said this before. People think she's angry, that she doesn't like her members, but when in reality her personality just has a cold a trait (she also has a bit of a bitchface ha). Why people hate Tiffany is a bit more... complex. People hate Tiffany because her bubbly, bright, girly personality seems fake. She was easily a very hated on member, for reasons I can't even comprehend. There is also the other members, but it's safe to say they are all equally hated on, but these three I only know the reason why orz

If you are SONE, or anything else, don't spread hate :D It's okay to dislike Taeyeon (but her dating Baekhyun should definitely _not_ be a reason) or any other member, but hate from a distance so you don't hurt them or their fans! Couldn't have said it better, I can relate to her so much and it's amazing that people hate on her for example just because she's dating Baekhyun, what's wrong with that? Do we have to decide for them?, no, it's their private life and if they love each other that's what really should matter. And I can respect solid criticism but hate no, because one thing is to express your opinion always respecting that person and another is just saying a bunch of words to hurt someone vulnerable.

The phenomenon of SASAENGS - crazy fans who will even stalk and try to hurt or kill their idols ... or anyone who "gets in their way" to their idol ... is a serious problem in Korea. Lots of KPOP idols have been attacked and injured - Internet attacks and account hacks, poisoned food, acid attacks, violence.

Taeyeon got a double whammy of it.
Baekhyun had some female sasaengs who threatened to kill Taeyeon because they felt that Baekhyun would fall in love with them if not for Taeyeon.
Then the whole Jessica thing happened and Taeyeon as much as directly admitted that it was her as leader who gave Jessica her walking papers based on a vote from the rest of the members.
Jessica has some really serious sasaengs and she said some things that could be interpreted as attacks on Taeyeon online after the whole thing went down - her sasaengs went after Taeyeon with a vengeance. Death threats against her, her family, her friends, etc.
Taeyeon is pursuing legal action against several individuals over it (Korea doesn't have the sort of "free speech" rights that allow folks to say as extreme things about public figures that people in America have and some peeps may be looking at jail time).
From what I see, Taeyeon has some serious depression. Worrying what others people said, affected by haters critism, saying sorry for nothing wrong, always think negatively, these are all the signs of depression. Depression is a serious mental illness, if the condition become worse, I am afraid that Taeyeon may commit suicide. I am a sone myself and I didn't want to say this on Taeyeon intentionally. I just want to spread the word that Taeyeon does not deserve any of these hate, she says sorry all the time because she is blaming herself. Please stop hating on her...

At first, I could never really understand why Taeyeon was so popular. I knew she was amazingly talented, but I could sense that people loved her for more than her talent and beauty. She wasn't very entertaining or funny or jokester. She wasn't sassy and blunt. She wasn't charismatic on variety shows. She didn't have outstanding stage presence. I couldn't see what it was about Taeyeon's personality that made so many people love her. I'm going to be honest, I thought she was super boring and couldn't grasp why nearly everyone adored her. After watching this, I finally understand. She's a true sweetheart. She's introverted, loving, and compassionate. She's so kindhearted and this video showcases that brilliantly.

She was funny and dorky in the past. She was cute naturally, down to earth, laid-back and a bit tomboyish. She started becoming depressed and never talked from 2014. She getting back to normal but still remain true to her introvert self. But when she is alone or with tts, she becomes her dorky self again. She is pretty unique once you get to know her. Maybe that's why she gets a lot of fans.
She has an amazing personality, she is actually really hilarious and goofy and showcased this quite often in the past before things happened. Nowadays she still shows that side of hers, only to close friends or her fans. She is insanely dedicated to her career and fans first and foremost. She's very reserved otherwise and spends her free time at home, there are lots of idols that want to get to know her but its difficult because she's introverted unfortunately. Hope the best for her

I can highly relate to everything she said in this video. She's not only an introvert, like me she's more or less an INFJ. The type of personality that no one can relate, no one can understand, even we are sick of our own selves. Well you can google about it to find out what the heck this INFJ thing is.
But let me explain some here.
We always find it difficult to express ourselves, we keep everything by ourselves, we are super sensitive and worry too much. We are complex and complicated. We love people and being around them, but at the same time we want to just get away and isolate ourselves from everyone, not because we are antisocial but its just how we function. Thats why people often misunderstand us and see us as 'weird', we can understand you though. And thats our problem. We ALWAYS understand others very well more than you understand yourself when not a single one of you will ever understand us. Yea, because we can see everything from other people's persepective. We can put ourselves on someone else' shoe somehow so you will never find us judging you.
And our main problem is.. we're clueless who exactly we are and what exactly we want to do in our life. Then before we know it we end up stressing ourselves out. Thats why you'll stamp us as a depressed person... when honestly we really are.
We have no idea either at all why we have this kind of personality. It feels like a curse. It just really hard..and feels horrible.. Even if you try to understand us, you'll end up confusing yourself anyway so..

its difficult to look after the previous 9 members. but she managed to look after all of them. there's many girl's group out there that have 4 members, 5 members, 6 members. for us, is easy to take of the least numbers of members, example T-ARA, they changed members so many times. you can see the different between added member and current member. Girls' Generation been together as 9 since 2000- September 2014, 30. almost 14 years plus their training time and their successful time. Taeyeon keep on saying that she is not SNSD Leader, but as their oldest sister. for her, all of them are leader. taking care of each other. Taeyeon try her best to look after her 8 sisters. although Jessica is no longer SNSD, but she is still Taeyeon's sister. maybe they still contact each other, we never know. maybe Jessica will come back to SNSD in the future when they having a reunion concert. we dont know. as SONE, we just need to support them by voting them, learn about their life, their characters. we should proud that our girls have been through the black wave in 2008, but now?? They have a pink wave everytime they did their concert around the world. Taeyeon been offered as a solo singer since 2008 but she put her sisters first before herself. she want to be with them. SNSD never have added member in KPOP history. Their relationship as sisters always strong. Taeyeon is their mum. each of them have their own weakness. so, always support SNSD! Right now is Girls' Generation, Tomorrow is Girls' Generation and Forever is Girls' Generation!

The BaekYeon news hit me because of how people hated on a young beautiful lady who did what she loved to do. Taeyeon shows her love to her fans. I feel that being an idol/celebrity stresses one out a lot. There's a lot of difference between the person you are in the limelight/public and the person that others dont really see. Celebrities tend to live according to the public's standard, and always act in a way to please everyone. It's not easy for Taeyeon, especially when she joined the industry at such a young age, and had to be supervised for everything she does. No one can take the pressure like that, especially for an introvert that doesnt interact as actively as extroverts, but yet had to be placed in situations where they have to be always enthusiastic. I get how that feels though. Sometimes i come home from a hectic day interacting with people, feeling empty and lost. 'Will i be able to keep up with everyone's standard?" I think sometimes you fear to show your real self, because you don't know if others will like you or not. Being an idol is not easy, and i think Taeyeon initially thought about performing on stage only and didnt think about all the hardships that came with it.

I gotta admit the only outstanding one for vocal isJi Hyo and I think Nayeon (?? sorry bc I'm not rlly a fan I don't rlly know the names) and even with that, apparently their mr removed had a lot of playbacl? or at least the playback was there even at parts that were easy to sing. tbh, rather than constantly using the "they are pretty", "they are talented", "they are rookies" reasons, (I wont call it excuses bc that's just rude), I would rather u use other reasons. bc technically speaking they aren't 'rookies' anymore since they've been on survival shows, they are pretty but that doesn't rlly say much as a singer/artist, they are talented, yes, but in what way? don't get me wrong, if I sound rude, I apologise but it might be bc I have a bad impression of them. since they danced "anyhow" to dumbdumb, ive been kinda upset. no matter what, rv is their sunbae (omg babies are sunbaes now sad), if they didn't know how to dance to dumbdumb, they could've said or just stopped dancing and ask to skip to the next song but they just kept dancing to the same move over and over again even though it had alrdy gone to the next verse/chorus. idk, it seems like a small thing but as a rv fan and I saw other comments too, some ppl weren't happy. now, I wont judge them bc of this one thing and I get they were having fun but I haven't seen much of twice for ppl to rlly call them THE NEXT SNSD. anyways, thanks for those who made it to the end of my ajkfhjshfhr (whatever u call this).. u must have been REALLY free lmao) but either way, I just wanna point out that soshi deserves love whether ot8 or ot9 and especially that little angel called taeyeon LOVES HUGS XOXO LMAO BYEBYE
btw, I'm not criticizing twice okay. I just disagree that ppl are saying "twice is the next snsd" like its a fact. I don't think they've shown enof or area even at that level.

After watching Taeyeon all these years I feel she is like a big river that is calm on the surface but fast flowing and turbulent underneath. We see the surface without realizing how tough the river is below. All I can do is support her and hope for the best
