not a local spot but Pals is a Appalachian fast food chain that shouldn't be over looked.
There is one somewhat near me, and i've never ate there. I need to change that!

Roasted corn is the best. It was always my favorite thing to get at the state fair. It's pretty easy to do at home on the grill. Just peel back the leaves, remove the silk, and then pull the leaves back up over the corn. Soak it in water for 30 minutes or so and then put in on the grill. I like it when some of the kernels start getting dark brown or even with a few charred bits. Its so good.

@@jonfromappalachia Shallmar/Kitzmiller - coal mine shut down there not too long ago. Might not be a food spot, but def history.
