Great review, bought the car 3 months ago, I'm getting it next month (I hope!). Can't wait to have it in my hands and drive it! And your analysis is perfect: I'm a commuter, I do around 10 miles per day in my trip to work and back home and then I use the car to go out in the evening, sometimes going in Milan (where I can enter the city center since it's an hybrid and I don't pay for parking either) and short trips on the weekend, where I can enjoy the performance. And I have a garage, so I can charge it every evening when I come home. I think this is the car designed for a 36 years old guy like me.
When they went buttonless. The critics grilled them quite harshly for it. So they kept the best of what was good about it and added buttons. Meanwhile others decided to do what Peugeot decided to correct on. I feel like it’s other brands following Peugeot. Watch next iteration of vag cars. Buttons included like Peugeot’s new generation
I'm about to receive mine in a few weeks, I've ordered the estate. So to make sure I get the best mpg, make sure it's charged before any trip? Also did you change your electricity supplier?
@@mkzwrld7641 yeah I took delivery of mine last week Thursday. Did a few runs and was getting 300mpg while in Hybrid mode. Actually really pleased with the car. Ended up getting the cupra leon estate vz2
@@kamz87 I got the hatchback vz2. Alwsys do all my local drives in e mode. Only on weekends (Sundays do I travel, so that's the only time I'm in hybrid mode)
@@timharris559 but cupra badge would be on the formentor no matter what because they are now independent of seat. It’s no longer a “high end engine” spec car now.
Thanks. I live in an apartment block, so can't get a wall charger fitted, however their is sockets in the block garage. Does it comes with a conventional cable ?
If it doesn’t, you can buy one for £250 ish. However, it’s not an ideal long term solution. Might be worth talking to the building owner and asking about getting a 7KW charger installed.
Manufacturers advise against regular 3-pin charging - only using it as an odd occasion. Puts a lot of strain on the electrics in the building and is significantly slower than you’d hope for.
Seems exactly the same as the seat leon 1.4 phev. A bit more sporty looking, interior seats are better but other than that it's the same.?? They should have made it a 2.0L phev.
Is this a good middle ground? Or have CUPRA missed the mark?
Cupra need to go to speck savers if they think it’s better looking than my cupra 300
It’s a new look, I quite like it. The old one is mega too though.

Amazing to hear they’ve made the perfect car for you! It’s a wonderful thing too.
@@TheAutoDad I hope it will reveal as the perfect car, for real :D
...aaaand it did! I have it since one month now, it's perfect.
@@gandyhyoga6942 hello, would you still recommend this car ??
@@louismiller-marshall1205 absolutely, even more than before. It fits me perfectly.
Amazing Video! Surprising good for those views... Go on like this, i love it! :D
Btw, my Cupra Leon Hybrid will here in about 2 weeks :)
Amazing! It’s a fantastic car and I’m sure you’ll have miles of smiles. :)
Needing something semi-sensible to go along with our Cayman and get some decent mileage. I think I'll probably give this a test drive.
Definitely worth a look!
Unfortunately only Peugeot seem to get that people want buttons or shortcuts for driver controls
Glad they get it!

Hello how long can you drive in hybrid mode before the battery runs out (on highway)?
I’d say over 100 miles in hybrid, easily. Maybe 200. Depends on the route and speed.
It sounds like the is a lot of road noise in the cabine? From the tyres?
Yeah P Zeros. But, my mic is mega sensitive too sadly.
Interesting, these things are cheaper than an A3 PHEV atm on a PCP. Would you say it's better?
100% better, more fun, something different too.
@@TheAutoDad Think I might to give it a shot, thanks for the reply. Great review too, impressed with the production quality given the channel size

honestly not sure, looks cool but is it really them. the 310ps one is but this shouldnt have the badge really. or should it?
Not sure, the 150hp Formentor has a Cupra badge ...

How often does it need charged ? My commute is roughly a 40 mile round trip, per 5 day week.
If you stuck it on charge over night, every night, it’d be giving you mega MPG and no range anxiety. :)

Was this the VZ2 or vz3 spec
This was a First Edition, so it didn’t get VZ2 or VZ3 definition etc.
