That BF-109 was turned into a literal a-10
Normaly You need only 1 hit from the 30mm to kill a plane but 3 damm
I usually only use the main cannon for fighters and the fun pods for bombers/emergency ammo

Reminds me of IL-2 Sturmovik for PC - if you played as Germany by late-war you could put all kinds of gunpods on your 109.

So this is basically German version of the I-185, Intresting… I seem to find more and more planes from different countries have same weapon loadout😀.
I think it’s because there’s only so far you can go with things so people arrive to the same conclusions. only so many guns and so much armor and so and so size engine you can fit on a fighter.

I run all my BF-109’s with MG151/20’s.. Even though you loose like 30-40 Kilo’s because of the lighter/less ammo load of the MK108’s . I find that the reliable 20mm’s will do just fine in an engagement even if they weigh me down. I used to run with a 30mm in the nose, But found out that its not worth it unless you have gun convergence on.
