Seriously looked at this machine, was very close but went for the Husky 535LK due to extra power. It's a phenomenal machine, so no regrets! Saying that, will stick with Stihl hedge cutters as they are the best in the business! Had my HS81R for eight years and it's the dog's bollocks!!

Don't neglect to grease the gearbox (in two places) every 40 hours of use to avoid premature wear. Also, it's essential to use Stihl hedger spray to prevent resin build-up on the blade. Brian / Stihl tech
I have the stihl km130 kombisystem unit with the tiller/cultivator attachment, the rubber paddle broom, the bristle broom, the string trimmer, edger, 145 degree articulating hedge trimmer, the pole saw and I have two 3 foot carbon fiber extensions. No matter what tool I use or how hard I push this thing it never bogs down or loses power. I like this kombi unit better than the dedicated units because the engine on this km130 is 36.3 cc 1.9 HP and you can use the same powerful engine to run all of the tools and save storage space and money by not having to maintain multiple engines. I used to have 5 or 6 dedicated units and they took up alot of storage space, now I can literally fit this whole kombi system in a golf club bag. This kombi system is well worth the money and it's worth paying the few extra dollars for the bigger engine, (110, 111, 130, 131).
Hey great vid ,I have 2 of those hedgecutters and I find the spring lock doesn't hold the blade in place very well when I use it , have you ever had a problem with it ,Tia jim
What is the max diameter of shrub branch can this cut? I have a row of shrubs that have a lot of thicker branches. Would a 131R and this trimmer have more cutting torque than a higher-end plug-in electric model?
Thanks for watching. I generally use this to trim trees as well. The biggest diameter I run is about the thickness as my pointer finger. It will cut just fine but it really is made for hedges/shrubs..the 131r has a lot of power.
@@GReviewz yea just bought the new power head yesterday , Trimmer head on back order though , just wanted to see the adjustment lock configuration and range of adjustment on the trimmer head
To my knowledge all Km attachments will for all km units. However I do believe at some point/year they did change the connector unit. I’d ask a stihl dealer if your unit will work..
Yes it will,I have the KM 56RC and it will take the hedge trimmer no problem,not as powerful as the Km131r but will still do the job for residential use.
I'm not trying to sound negative, But if you going to take the time and effort to put a demonstration video together, wouldn't it make more sense to show us how it works at normal speed? Otherwise great video!

Thank you for watching. I apologize. When it comes to specs I just use local measurements just to keep things shorter on the video. I should use all measurements however people can go on the website to look up specs also.
Yeah STIHL does have a high prices on their products but I can tell you they are good quality and your not having to buy a bunch of engines to maintain...

A little petrol (gas) will also clean the blade.
I have one I love it but I have just ordered a half-length drive shaft (Stihl Hl-Km Combi System Short Tool Drive Shaft) for closer work.

Have the straight trimmer would like to get the 145° trimmer. Need to get the spray cleaner and lub for the trimmer head from Sthil works good.
Thanks for the advice. I do need to get something! The 145 degree is nice! Just keep in mind it is a longer reach with this one…

I have not had that same problem. Have you tried some wd40 on the spring. It could just be clogged with debris making it weaker?

Congrats you will enjoy the unit. This head has more range of adjustment than anyone actually needs.

You really need the 145 degree hedge cutting attachment to cut hedges. In my opinion i would pay twice the price, amazing machine.
Please loose that music and it is tough to see how it is working if you speed up the process. Speed up is great if you want to show your skill.
