For the desert biome, why not just dig down and use a torch to collect all the sand as it fell?

Also why not use the sandstone as a base when expanding the platform
Because the whole biome is not made of sand, it has ton of sandstone layers below
@Warrior SFG I never said go to bedrock. I guessed that most people would understand I meant to the bottom of the sand. Since it easier to go to the bottom of the sand and even though it is not level, doing the torch trick will cause the sand to fall faster than shoveling all of it.
I feel like a cool idea similar to this one is every few days a new random chunk spawns next to the old one

I was surprised Paul didn't go for a cobblestone wall for the first biome. Would've been easier than stressing about the wood.

I love 100 days, this one was special. I loved the way you set it up with the different biomes it was so cool and how the middle was the changing chunk.
I’ve loved the videos where things change every however many days and this one didn’t disappoint! Can’t wait to see what you do next and if it involves a similar setup to this its gonna be so dope! You have such awesome and creative ideas!

Foxes are the reason I put my chickens in coops with roofs lol sucks to open a door every time I need to get some feathers or something but it's worth it just so I don't gotta chase foxes around

why not use torches while mining the sand and gravel? it will save you a lot more time and durability

Could have used the torch technique on the sand where you dig the block under the sand then place a torch so they all fall and break on the torch
