This is nothing but a mockery. Now imagine if it was meant to mock the LGBT cult or if they were using white actors in an all African themed movie. They would all lose their mind and try to cancel the movie. Hypocrisy at it's finest.
One of my favorite film critics, Matt Page saw this at a festival and said some things that make me want to see this more. First, the main character is a con man from the start. I’m not sure whether he learns his lesson or if this is a Breaking Bad situation where the villain is the main character. Page also said that the casting seems to be an artistic choice in order to show how bigoted the Romans were towards Christians and Jewish people. For example, every historical record that we have of Pilate highlights his brutal antisemitism.

Jesus isn’t being respected here because it’s mockery. It’s influencing selfish ambition, which is a sin. Clarence, wanting to be like Jesus is a sin, and it’s the same thing that happened with Satan. He wanted to be the leader, he wanted to have the same power, but we see where that got him. Throw out of Heaven for good. Now he has to live in eternal damnation for eternity, and bringing all his demons with him when Jesus returns.
