SM seems to adapt the plot in correlation with real life complications. This means that not even the downer ending of Obsession is absolute. As Xiumin and D.O will return in December 2020 and January 2021 respectively and KrisTaoHan are on good terms again, they may provide Emergency Support™ and actually reverse the process. Also , Baekhyun was fighting with the SWAT agents next D.O at the jail box , maybe it's a bit difficult to see but he is there . So yeah , just focus on the details , the VCRs from concerts are very interesting, next time you should talk about them and try to make the theorys after the MV is realized cuz obsession lyrics shows that EXO and x-exo are in the same body ,they are one juts that sometimes x-exo takes the control . It could be that the baekhyun fighting with the swat/red force agents was the evil clone while the one fighting against the swat/red force agents. And a beakhyun tries to save the remaining members who were captured by opening the back of the van but somewhat failing to do so causing the members to be experimented on
Bit of a late reply but I saw a video of a possible theory of the fight being inside their minds with X-EXO. as the lyrics suggests it all happens at night. Plus the black flag on the album is similar to the one being held in Tao's fight during the lunar eclipse

My guess about the overdose maze is that both Kai and Luhan reached the center first and the other ten members didn't but they eventually reached the center. But Luhan and Kris reached a alternate center. I know it sounds a bit off but a maze never ends and never begins. there will be always multiple ways to get in and out and I think that the maze is moving like the outro of Overdose we saw multiple mazes. my guess is that Luhan and Kris where in the same maze after all but they got stuck in a alternate center. It is also seen in a live vcr I think where we all see the members outside the maze but we see two members still in the maze.

As a newer K-Pop fan and even newer EXO-L who is only about 2 weeks in, this not only caught me up on the happenings, but answered a burning question for me. To date, I have watched "Monster" the most. The song and the choreo just captivate me. As an Erigom, watching my beloved Kai dance in this video over and over again, is such a treat. So because I've watched it so many times the question was building as to why the content of the video didn't match the lyrics. The song tells of a desire to gain the love of another, even if that means forcing the way in a little at a time to the point of non-resistance. So I had no clue what all of the violence and captivity had to do with that. In fact, I was going to ask that question in the video's comment section. But now that I've watched this, I have a far better understanding of what's going on and as I rewatch videos that I've seen and watch for the first time, those that I haven't, I will pay better attention to the storyline. Because so far, it's been all about eyeballing the members in regards to physical appearances, dancing, and singing; not so much their roles in the ongoing saga. Thanks again! This was super helpful!

u should put into consideration how xiumin is always near phones and ksoo is always in the high ground + near cctvs as he’s observing them. thought those are pretty crucial for the theory. also why ksoo didn’t glitch in tempo, it could be bc he’s the only one who didn’t drink the shot in love shot (he pours the liquid out) hence making him the real one in tempo, playing along with the clones. a lot can connect from there.
im so happy i found this video! i was watching the mv for mmmh yesterday and i just thought what if kai is back on exo planet and then i started to think of what exo would do as a goodbye concept (hopefully in the FAR future) and i think it would be cool if they have a whole book or movie to explain everything that happened in their cinematic universe (they could either ask kris luhan and tao to come back just for this or explain them leaving as them going back to the planet early or something) and their goodbye is like them saying goodbye to the earth and going back to exo planet and rejoining the tree and being at peace with all of their missions/goals fulfilled :)

I don't know if it's connected but in Lotto the girl is running away from Wolf's I thought that it either was a trap for the real EXO (Wolf MV) or that they tried to get the girl before she could cooperate with X EXO (Wich they could have heard from D.O) but one of the Clones arrived before they could stop her or they did get to kidnap her that's why she was hanging from the ceiling and X EXO saved her in order to continue to release the tape. That could also be the reason why X-Baekhyun avoided the camera eventually not because he called the FBI but the real members. Idk if that makes sense or it's just me overthinking Anyway that what you said made really sense and made me less confused lol. not very important for the whole theory maybe but the small detail of the Power MV of them turning into different cartoons and shit is a reference to the Book 'Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy' which is a major influence to all sci-fi things and gives important info on how time+space function in the Universe. I recommend reading it, it's a great and fun read! :D

Wow, what an interpretation. I thought i knew all i needed to know about EXO: the members' names, their songs and MVs. But i had NO idea there was so much lore and the huge role it played in their performances. Guess i wasn't looking close enough. Regardless of any theory, the crazy storyline must also be a metaphor for their real-life experiences as a group (struggles, heartbreaks, separation but also victory). Makes me love EXO more. But the only thing I found related to airports is Porto Segura is Brasil (BPS) and I don't think that's it. I might be wrong but in Lotto we see the wolves and Wolf MV... well it’s obvious they have this concept there too xD Also, they did like a little drama I think where they show their "powers". Now you explained that with the clones I don’t know if both are relatable... xD maybe EXO or X-EXO are wolves idk xD.
It could also be that X-EXO tries to steal EXO’s powers and eliminate them. But I’m sure of one thing X-EXO is the evil part of EXO. X-EXO represents the bad and EXO the good. They released the song "Jekyll" in their album. This really caught my eye, because of the book "Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde". It’s quite the same thing in this book... it’s about a certain Dr.Jekyll who creates his own clone, this clone is his evil part called Mr. Hyde. Dr.Jekyll can transform himself into Mr.Hyde by taking a potion I think... Mr. Hyde tries to survive but for that he must possess his creator Dr.Jekyll completely so that he can’t transform into Dr. Jekyll anymore... I don’t know if it’s understandable but I’m sure at 100% that they based on this story:)

As a newer K-Pop fan and even newer EXO-L who is only about 2 weeks in, this not only caught me up on the happenings, but answered a burning question for me. To date, I have watched "Monster" the most. The song and the choreo just captivate me. As an Erigom, watching my beloved Kai dance in this video over and over again, is such a treat. So because I've watched it so many times the question was building as to why the content of the video didn't match the lyrics. The song tells of a desire to gain the love of another, even if that means forcing the way in a little at a time to the point of non-resistance. So I had no clue what all of the violence and captivity had to do with that. In fact, I was going to ask that question in the video's comment section. But now that I've watched this, I have a far better understanding of what's going on and as I rewatch videos that I've seen and watch for the first time, those that I haven't, I will pay better attention to the storyline. Because so far, it's been all about eyeballing the members in regards to physical appearances, dancing, and singing; not so much their roles in the ongoing saga. Thanks again! This was super helpful!

u should put into consideration how xiumin is always near phones and ksoo is always in the high ground + near cctvs as he’s observing them. thought those are pretty crucial for the theory. also why ksoo didn’t glitch in tempo, it could be bc he’s the only one who didn’t drink the shot in love shot (he pours the liquid out) hence making him the real one in tempo, playing along with the clones. a lot can connect from there.
im so happy i found this video! i was watching the mv for mmmh yesterday and i just thought what if kai is back on exo planet and then i started to think of what exo would do as a goodbye concept (hopefully in the FAR future) and i think it would be cool if they have a whole book or movie to explain everything that happened in their cinematic universe (they could either ask kris luhan and tao to come back just for this or explain them leaving as them going back to the planet early or something) and their goodbye is like them saying goodbye to the earth and going back to exo planet and rejoining the tree and being at peace with all of their missions/goals fulfilled :)

I don't know if it's connected but in Lotto the girl is running away from Wolf's I thought that it either was a trap for the real EXO (Wolf MV) or that they tried to get the girl before she could cooperate with X EXO (Wich they could have heard from D.O) but one of the Clones arrived before they could stop her or they did get to kidnap her that's why she was hanging from the ceiling and X EXO saved her in order to continue to release the tape. That could also be the reason why X-Baekhyun avoided the camera eventually not because he called the FBI but the real members. Idk if that makes sense or it's just me overthinking

not very important for the whole theory maybe but the small detail of the Power MV of them turning into different cartoons and shit is a reference to the Book 'Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy' which is a major influence to all sci-fi things and gives important info on how time+space function in the Universe. I recommend reading it, it's a great and fun read! :D

Wow, what an interpretation.
I thought i knew all i needed to know about EXO: the members' names, their songs and MVs. But i had NO idea there was so much lore and the huge role it played in their performances. Guess i wasn't looking close enough. Regardless of any theory, the crazy storyline must also be a metaphor for their real-life experiences as a group (struggles, heartbreaks, separation but also victory).
Makes me love EXO more. Great concept for SM to put out and i hope they do their best in taking care of the members. Thanks for sharing!

I find your theory very interesting and well put together ! However in the audio of Suho's pathcode you can hear "bps 140" in french and with the way they said it, it made me think of an airport. But the only thing I found related to airports is Porto Segura is Brasil (BPS) and I don't think that's it. But it seems important because the audio emphasize 2 times "bps 140" and it's the only thing I can hear distinguishly !
