I mean, he's an elite runningback with tons of touches. that makes sense. personally, I think there are simply 2 heismans this year. wish it could be split
Pretty much any other year, either of these guys would have it in a landslide. I'd give it to Jeanty because I think he's been the best player at any position this year. But it's hard to argue that Hunter isn't more valuable since he plays both sides, either way it's the right decision, and the wrong one.
Jeanty was so good, he carried his team to a first round playoff bye. Jeanty is the more impactful player, which is why he has a chance and deserves it.
Idk man, based on this I'd go Jeanty. Feels like more than half the runs you are showing, he's taking contact behind the line, but he turns that into 1st downs and tds.
Jeanty has a case but it should go to Hunter for excelling on both sides of the ball. Many of the peeps saying that he shouldn't win it aren't actual football fans but people who are using this to exercise their personal prejudices and are attempting to gatekeep their ideas of how a successful black athlete should act. In their eyes Hunter isn't humble enough so they pray for any opportunity they can downgrade his accomplishments.
@GameBoi36 Not flawed at all to anybody who actually applies critical thinking. Certain people are resigned to the fact that a the top candidates for this award are all black athletes. Therefore type of person I'm describing has no problem picking the black athlete they see as being more humble even though this same person will defend any successful white athlete who exhibits the same confidence or boisterous type swagger that Hunter displays as compassionate. There are simply many agenda driven peeps who have infiltrated the lexicon of sports commentary in this current politically driven internet era who could care less about merit and care more about making a statement and cheer for an outcome simply because it reinforces they own heavily flawed belief system.
yea i dont have skin in the game, and i dont care who wins... hunter is a great player and hed win in any other year. his two way game is keeping him in the heisman discussion imho. but jeanty should win the award. he is the more impactful player, and he will be the better player at the next level too. hunter wont have the same impact at corner or receiver that jeanty will at rb. that being said, hunter will win the heisman. its a shame, both of these kids are special and deserve to win.
This argument makes no sense lol. Hunter isn’t Shadeur- he’s by all accounts been plenty humble despite his success. You’re just creating a boogeyman in a debate for which athlete deserves an award bc the one you like could lose
Who is your pick for the award?
Both
Jeanty
Honestly I don’t care who wins. These two mfs are just special.
There should be 2 Heismans this year.
Just a reminder that Jeanty had Travis Hunter's production at wide receiver BY WEEK 5.

Co Heisman

future patriot travis hunter 🙏🙏
Both deserve it. Both elite but one is generational.
Honestly think both are generational
The intro said it one guy is playing top five at two positions it shouldn't be a question of who wins
Jeanty was so good, he carried his team to a first round playoff bye. Jeanty is the more impactful player, which is why he has a chance and deserves it.
he's top 12, and top 7-8ish in each position.
The other is having a top five season at his position of all time
Idk man, based on this I'd go Jeanty. Feels like more than half the runs you are showing, he's taking contact behind the line, but he turns that into 1st downs and tds.
If you took Jeanty off Boise State and replaced him with Travis, Boise would not make the playoffs. Jeanty is the easy choice.
that’s probably because Boise can’t pass…so obviously they have to rely on the run
Travis by wash
Jeanty a problem tho, but Travis generational
Can’t wait for the Josh conerly and Abdul Carter videos
I want jeanty to win it..but in opinion hunter Deserves it more ..
jeanty
it's Jeanty by a MILE but Hunter is gonna win it
jeanty ain’t even good i scheme a defensive for him so easily just players don’t wanna commit
If you think Jeanty should win it, that’s fair. But if you think it’s not even close then you’re very biased
Ok i’ll listen. Why is he “a mile more deserving/better” than a top 5 wr/cb hybrid (thinking football’s description of hunter)?
@@lexist7 you could hit stick jeantys knees and get him injured
I hate that it’s not obviously Jeanty
Travis girlfriend is the one who will win in the end
CAM WARD!
sorry hunter, youre a great player.... but jeanty isnt human. the heisman is his.

Umm Jeanty is black and many of the qualities that you listed Jeanty is and arguably more so. So your argument is very flawed.
