Great video, I can learn a lot from you. I desperately tried to connect Putty to a HP 1910 series switch. That piece of hardware only communicates with 38400 baud, no chance with 19200 or 9600.
Good video..... using an USB to RS-232 converter connected blue console cable (rs232 to rj45) to HP-2910al-48G-PoE via console port, , just a black screen. via putty, kitty, teraterm, tried a few other swithes same result. if i connect the rs232 cable directly to a US robotics modem, i can do AT commands and i get replies. Any suggestions? Thank you ..
This is a great video. I had to learn most of this under fire. Nothing like learning how to fix a networking issue during an outage.
Unfortunately it's how most of us have learned! Hope you have a great new year!
@@TechsavvyProductionsthis is very true. I have a feeling that's how I'm going to learn Vxrails.

I might try without the USB to RS-232 converter... Putty and the right cable should be all you need.

That would be lots of fun, but there are a lot of videos out there on that topic!
