  • I built this race sim back in 2012.
    Some info:
    AVR Motion Controller
    DSMhb (DIY MOSFET H-bridge motor driver)
    2DOF firmware v1.0 for PWM AMC v1.5 board (by Thanos / TronicGr)
    Running x-sim on the PC.
    Wiper motors from vw polo.
    Potentiometers. 270*
    Racing Wheel : logitech g27.
    Handbrake: homemade.
    PSU: 12v 30A switched power supply from ebay.
    Se my other videos for a demo.

    Hallo Martin, which kind of motors are u using? Works very soft, nice work.

      Thanks. Regular vw polo wiper motors.

      Thank you, how much watt they have?

    • @Martin-bq8hd
      @Martin-bq8hd  4 роки тому

      @@kaygilgenast2562 around 40 watt. When on full load i think they peak at the double. I recommend a motordriver able to handle at least 10 amps for each motor.

    Can you mabey send a list with the products which you user to make the motion system and write the times of the video next to it ?

      Hi. The motion controller i use is called "AVR motion controller 1.5" And my H-bridge (putting out power to the motors ) is called "dual_simple_Mosfet_hbridge_1_2b"
      A guy named Thanos made the plans to make your own H-bridge and controller. I bought the parts and soldered the PCB's
      His youtube channel is called "Thanos 6DOF motion sim electronics".
      The software used to controll the motion controller is cattled X-sim, check the forum.

      I built my simulator back in 2012 and you should look for some other newer controller.

      Here is a link to the updated plans for the motion controller.

      You could also use a arduino for motion controller:

      All the information you need are to be found in the X-sim forums / webpage.
      Good luck.

    Hallo matin, how long is the lever on your motors?

    • @Martin-bq8hd
      @Martin-bq8hd  4 роки тому

      Hello. About 50mm lever. Maximun travel is then 100 mm on each side. More travel would demand bigger motors.

    • @kaygilgenast2562
      @kaygilgenast2562 4 роки тому

      Wow thats 22 degrees roll. Is my thinking correct?

    • @Martin-bq8hd
      @Martin-bq8hd  4 роки тому

      @@kaygilgenast2562 it sure sounds mutch. It all depends how far out from centre you connect the levers i guess, and how the controller uses the travel.
