How much can an Uber driver make on a weekday?

  • I made this video to show people that Uber drivers can easily make over $400 in a day even on weekdays
Being a rideshare driver, in my opinion is the best side hustle out at the moment. You have the flexibility to work when you want/where you want and you meet of variety of people from different backgrounds, which gives you the opportunity to work with them on other side hustles you might be involved in. There are times I have made $100 a day and decided I’m done… $200 a day… $300 a day… $400 a day… $500 a day… And I know that it is possible to make $1000 a day When you implement and combine different factors such as private client rides. Having a positive mind is a must if not, you are going to go down that rabbit hole of negativity like most of the drivers that drive rideshare and complain that they are getting ripped off and working too hard. it is all about perception as all companies I’ve ever worked at in my life have two types of people… The positive people who see the light at the end of the tunnel and set goals for themselves and the negative people who always say the same things, such as … I am working too hard/I need more days off/the owners are making too much money off me/why did that guy or girl get promoted but I did not/so what I’m late I’m still here/I can go on and on and on
Let’s all remember to focus on the solution to problems instead of the problems itself as that will get us nowhere, and I wish everybody a safe/happy/prosperous life!

I just drove last night (Friday) for 8 hours in the Inland Empire only and still make $260, drove only 240 miles, only spent about $28 in gas as I drive a hybrid.

@@macchanman stay away from the LAX/and Hollywood Burbank Airport waiting lots… They are a waste of time but still do take the rides dropping people off at those airports as you will have a chance to get the ride out of the airport but do not just go there to wait for a ride at the lot
You are better off waiting in Playa Del Rey/Venice/Manhattan Beach/Hermosa Beach/etc. for a ride to the airport just so you can try to maximize your chances on getting a rematch to get the ride out of the airport instead of waiting in the lot
The other airports like John Wayne/Ontario/Long Beach are worth waiting at the lot, but you need to Google first the inbound flight schedule so you know how many flights are coming in approximately so you know if it’s worth waiting at that time.
I personally drive in the inland Empire/Orange County/Los Angeles… Wherever the rides take me… I actually prefer the longer rides that average $35 an hour or more even though people think you add wear and tear on the car at the end of the year when you do your taxes, you pay a lot less because you’re putting more miles which gives you more tax deductions… I actually have a video on that I’m gonna be making as well to better understand it
There is actually less opportunity out here where I am at that’s why I actually go to the Orange County/Los Angeles areas. I was just making a point on the last comment that I was even able to make that amount of money just staying out here in this area… But that was on the weekend… That does not happen on the weekdays all the time .
Yesterday on Saturday, I had a private ride that paid me $150 to go to the San Diego airport from Riverside… And I also made about $400 on the Uber app… So stay tuned as I’m gonna make a video on that showing what rides I took and where I went and post it today or tomorrow

Amazing that they give you quite a bit of comfort rides and X rides that are over $10. 99,9% rides I am getting are X, and most under $10, and are not ahort rides. They try to make me go from SNA to LA for $21! in peak hrs. Today I got 5 rides in a row that was X for under $10, no comfort at all. In the meantime those drivers who still have the Comfort only filter button, - not me - are non stop.

    • @UberDriverChat
      @UberDriverChat  Місяць тому +3

I’m in Southern California, so I’m definitely in a hot market, but at the same time there’s huge saturation in drivers
Remember to concentrate on private rides and also try to network with your passengers where you have the opportunity to run across a lot of people that you talk to every day, and if you are involved with another business or sell things that you could offer them that helps… For instance, I work with a money lender and also a senior caretaking service provider where when I referred them customers I get commissions and those commissions just for my Uber passengers average out to be about $1000 a month extra that I would never get if I wasn’t offering them to my Uber passengers
Depending where I pick people up and drop them off at, I always ask them if they’re going to need another ride back but I don’t necessarily solicit them just in case they complain to Uber but I let them ask me if I want to take them back, and I plant the seed so they ask me instead …. The other day I took somebody to the DMV and asked them if they had a ride back then I might still be in the area and they asked me for my phone number and I told them that Uber doesn’t like them doing that and they specifically told me not to worry about it that they’ll text me directly and I made $30 to take the person back, about 30 minutes which was a 17 mile trip and he paid me cash that he got from the Arco gas station cashback…
Also, keep in mind to look out areas where there’s always a lot of people ordering Uber such as concerts, etc. and just roll up to the crowd with your Uber light on your car and get out and verbally tell everybody that your passenger just canceled and if anybody’s having any trouble ordering Uber, you’re available going to a certain direction And you’ll get all kind of people trying to get a ride cause they’re in a hurry to get out of there and they don’t wanna wait for the Uber app because it’s usually backed up

Name another job where you can make $380 in 16 hours with a car and a phone? No one is saying this has to be a career. However, it is an opportunity to pay debt, stack money, go to school, cash flow a project, etc. It’s what you make of it.
Many Uber drivers finance cars (speaking from experience) and don’t actualize a higher ROI because their expenses are too high. Why finance a $30k car when you can make the same money with a $10k car?
Good job showing it can be done, bMac.

You do have a point and make sense.
I don't only do Uber and work like this every day that's for sure.
I made this video to let people know what is possible and there are people out there that get into a bind and need to make some fast $$$ and this is a great way to do it.
I have a couple things I do from home most weekdays involving getting fast cash loans for companies that need it to operate as well as finding customers for a senior homecare company.
I encourage everyone not to depend on Uber as we all know it will turn into slave labor.
All drivers need to think outside the box and use all these passengers they are running across to their advantage.
The networking opportunity is very valuable while driving for Uber vs just picking people up and dropping them off.
For instance there are times I position myself in certain areas to Uber that I know I will have a better chance of running across people that could use the 2 services I just mentioned above. I will even take rides that you might laugh at just to run across more people in that particular area.
Doing this gets me appx $1k - $2k a month extra on top of Uber earnings and my weekday sales earnings.
Not to mention just meeting awesome people out there. I am even talking with a previous passenger about a business opportunity that might blossom.
      The sky's the limit everyone!
      Stay tuned for more.

🤔I believe this is terrible. Almost like working same amount of time for 2 full time jobs and you drove for less than $1 per mile. You are destroying your vehicle and not making money. You are just robbing yourself after maintenance, gasoline, oil changes, tires, and repairs. Better to wait tables at a nice restaurant and get health benefits and better quality of life. You've got some thinking to do.😢

    • @UberDriverChat
      @UberDriverChat  Місяць тому +2

Thank you for watching and I appreciate your input and concern
I don’t mind working this many hours per day as I only do it three days a week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday… Sometimes one day during the week if I get cooped up in the house from doing my side hustles from home…
this actually improves my quality of life as it allows me to take four days off if I choose… I don’t have to worry about oversleeping my alarm clock… I don’t have to worry about telling my boss I got to take a day off to go to my kids function or the doctors, etc.… I definitely would not wait tables and have to put up with those kind of customers and management at those type of places as I’ve worked food industry when I was younger and know what would be in store for me lol
You mentioned benefits… i’m in California where My health insurance cost me $567 a month and Uber pays $450 of that which means I pay about $150 a month for my insurance… At a regular job I would be paying $25-$50 out of my paycheck every week… i’m not sure with other states in the United States but here in California that’s the law, so it works in our favor
Now let’s talk about the maintenance/gas/oil change/tires/etc.… We’re talking two sets of tires a year if I’m driving between 75,000 miles to 100,000 … about $550 a set which would be about $1000-$1100 a year
As far as fuel, I drive a hybrid and get 44 miles a gallon so I would probably spend about $8000 a year in fuel
      Oil changes another $500
I grossed $75,000 last year… Do you know how much taxes you would pay at a regular W-2 job on $75,000 by the way?… I paid $4000 in taxes which is a fraction of what I would’ve paid if I got taxed at a regular job making the same money.
You mentioned only making a dollar per mile which is a very common response from many people out there that don’t run the numbers like I do… Let’s use for example $80,000 gross per year at one dollar per mile. The person pays roughly $3000-$5000 in taxes with the $.67 per mile deduction for rideshare drivers… If you get four dollars per mile you’re gonna pay $13,000-$15,000 in taxes as you go from a 12% taxable income to a 22% taxable income with out getting as many deductions because you didn’t put in as many miles
I’m not trying to fool anybody as if you’re driving more miles. Obviously you’re gonna have more fuel cost and an extra couple sets of tires which is going to be $5000extra in fuel/tire/oil changes
at the end of the day you’re gonna be spending an extra $7000 and $9000 in taxes by saying you get four dollars a mile versus a dollar a mile.
You risk the chance of having a major repair happen every 2 to 3 years from putting more miles on the car… yes….But those cost for major repairs aren’t gonna be $8000 a year times three years which would equal $24,000 after each major repair happens between 250,000 to 350,000 miles… to rebuild the transmission is about $1500 out here where I’m at to rebuild an engines about $2000-$3000 which would be the bulk of any major repair cost which some of these cars are going a lot further than a lot of people think
I’ve been doing this going on two years now and I’ve talked to people that have been doing this 8 to 10 years and if you run this like a business and hold back some money and drive your car right and do things the right way it will make sense.
Take a look at some of my other videos, and read the comments, especially as I have commented on other peoples responses as well on how I use Uber to benefit myself with other side hustles that I do instead of just expecting to get paid for the rides that I do… the networking opportunity you have with all of these people you get in your car is very valuable and pays off if you use them instead of just letting them get in your car, ignoring them and dropping them off and expecting an Uber to make you $1 million a year

Thanks for your input. I'm really glad driving for Uber us working for you. I also drive Uber. In Chicago. I've been in 6 no-fault car accidents and have been driving for the past 7 years. I can't stand it anymore. The risks I take daily DO NOT reward me or fulfill me in any way whatsoever. I'm exhausted after being on the road 60 hours a week on average. Maybe I've been doing something completely wrong. But, no matter what I do, it seems as if Uber holds us at a pay ceiling between $25-$30/hr before expenses. Many of the fare offers are negative rides. Many are lowball offers. Surge is completely fake and doesn't make a difference and it seems as if riders that tip through the app get built into the hourly rate they're "giving" me. I gave my opinion based on my knowledge and my particular situation here in Chicago. I wish you the best. I'm trying to find better work where I am not manipulated by the company that employs me. They certainly do treat me as if I am an employee. I can't stand the games they play. I'm exhausted. Good luck in your other endeavors!

By the way, do you guys get the health insurance stipend out in Illinois?
What about private rides? Do you ever concentrate on getting private rides as I have a few of those a week that really helped out and they’re not very difficult to get

No... no health insurance in Illinois. Haven't gotten any scheduled rides in a while or private rides. Not sure if I want to commit to that. I really am trying to find work that fulfills me, as the driving I do here in Chicago really is tough driving and depresses me. I'm exhausted ALL THE TIME. So many bad drivers out here, I avoid accidents daily and catch on dash cam. I want to upload those to a UA-cam and tictok channel, knowing very well people love that content. We get sent into really difficult neighborhoods also, which is, as you know, very challenging. I'm tired of being exhausted all the time and want better quality of life. I'd love to find the energy to get back to the gym and exchange my Screwber Belly for a stronger body. Driving for Uber really has packed on the fatty pounds over the years.

So you're basically a slave for Uber, you must not have a life? I wish I could make that kind of $$$ here in Miami cause the fares are lower here, even lower for long trips. I don't slave for Uber I only work 4 to 6 hours 5 days a week, 8 years. I started with 30,000 miles on my car, going on 248,000 miles to date. I do most of my mechanical work on my car, feel bad for you that don't.

      I don’t consider myself a slave lol… Another man’s trash is another man’s treasure I guess
Working these type of hours I can make up to $500 a day on the weekends and during the week I don’t drive very often as I have a couple sales gigs that I do from home but at times need to get out the house and will Uber as well
I also use Uber for the network connections and the sales leads that I get from my passengers so I will position myself in certain areas at times, and even take rides that normal drivers will never take just to run across more people to meet.
You’re pretty much on point with me not having a life though as I work 6 to 7 days a week and bring in about
-$70k a year gross with Uber
-$125k a year with my sales gig from which about $25k of that comes directly from my networking with my Uber passengers
Then, in the summertime, I takeoff for a month to visit family in Greece and come back and do it all over again
I spent enough time in my younger years, running around, having a good time wasting money and it’s time now to catch up and think of the future

Every company has this type of attitude and say the same things such as....
      -Im not getting paid enough
      -Im working too much
      -I want weekends off
      -I deserve a raise
-the owners make too much money
Uber is not supposed to be used a your "main job"
Change your mindset and don't think of yourself as a victim. Focus on solutions instead of the problems.
      The sky's the limit everyone!
      Stay tuned for more.

I'm assuming you meant to say I am a "big time liar" ... is that correct?
If so then that means you are one of those people who think because you cannot do something, then it can't be done.
You are limiting yourself by thinking this way.
Watch my other video and you will see me make $650 in 1 day!
To make $400 - $500 a day just on the Uber app without any private rides you need to drive 12 hours and that means you will be in the car for about 14 hours with breaks, waiting in between rides, etc.
What is so hard to believe?
Watch the video, the proof is there. Many people are making this and more my friend.
Good luck out there and feel free to ask questions so we can get you to make this much as well.

You were 15hours online and active almost 10.
You lost 5 hours on the downtime. Not good!
$402 minus Gas, Tire wear, Miles, brakes... you made around $300
If that works for you, the more power to you! Cheers!

Your numbers are pretty accurate …I usually don’t work many weekdays as I have a couple other things that I do during the week and on the weekends I put in a full shift of 12 to 15 hours but usually bring in $500 minimum on the Uber side plus any private rides I might get just add to that

Yeah, to make that you would have to average 17 bucks PER RIDE, basically take all long airport trips etc....and that 400 goes down to probably about 320 after gas.
