i heard some theory that actually from the chill kill mv is the first chapter of the story (where they ride a bus to burn their house). so, they rode the bus and go to all the adventure (all their mvs). thats why in their bus it have all their memories.
Im not going to lie... i cried watching this trailer because i was not expecting them to reference their past music videos.😭From the bird from Happiness to the poster from the Chill Kill trailer. ESPECIALLY when Yeri got in the bus and Ice Cream Cake started playing in the background because that's the era she joined Red Velvet🤧
I can't believe I missed all that. Sigh, I feel like such a failure. I gotta watch it again.

People already gave a short version of the theory of what the trailer could in the comments but basically the longer version is...
It all started with that bus. The bus that holds precious memories. But then suddenly Irene noticed something. A strange message. “Remember this planet’s last summer day”. She then told everyone this news. A disastrous news because it means that every memory that they’ve collected throughout the year would be gone when the summer ends. Knowing that it wouldn’t last forever, they savor every moment together, at a beach, even if it rains. "But.. we can’t just give up that easily right? We need to do something about it” Hence, they gather up in a circle, praying for something magical. Voila! A new sun! “With another sun, the night wont come! We won’t need to worry about another day passing by! It’s going to be an eternal sunshine here, right?” The thing is..
Just because we got 2 suns on this planet, the moon is still lurking around. Trying to catch up, trying to hold the sun close by. An eclipse WILL be happening soon, we just don’t know when. Thus, the girlies try to do anything so that they’d still remember each other even when the new journey begins. They then decide to give themselves sun marks, so even if their past memories got erased, they’d still recognized each other.

my theory about the burns is that they did it so they can recognize each other when they wake up/ go to the real world

I dont like to spoil the excitement, but im really scared for this comeback. Usually but not all the time, if there is something like going a trip to memory lane, separation might be happening. Remember joy, wendy and yeri's contracts are still unclear, as far as i know they still didnt renew with sm. If you are familiar with girls generation, after their 10th anniversary, some members left the company. So i feel like rv is going the same direction as girls generation.
Well let's be serious, even if they all stay in SM they will not cb that often anymore.
At least we can look forward to Irene solo this year as well...
Do groups normally not renew contracts or stay going together after 10 years?

@@KPOPCarrie obviously they renewed their contracts, during their 7th or 8th. And it was announced that they have renewed back then but now, only irene and seulgi confirmed that they renewed their contracts. For yeri, i read it from somewhere that her contract will expire next year.
If they will not renew, it doesnt mean that they are disbanding. Its just group activities will be less, until they will have a comeback. Groups like girls generation, super junior have members outside of the company but still do group comebacks.
