Hey guys, can you give an opinion about this. I am making three UTAU projects. And one of them is going to be Wowakas voice. The other is Sora the trolls voice. And the other is in process. Wowaka will be voicing Heide Mitsuoshi, sora the troll wil be voicing Nakuma Mitsuoshi, and the other will be Soda. (This character is inspired by sodasaurus.) and the question or opinion is, is it right to use Wowakas voice for one of my creations. I want to use his voice for singing reamp, and stereo juvenile. But it feels wrong using his voice. But I want to hear him sing one of reamps songs and release it on twitter and youtube. What do you think guys, let me hear your opinion!
hey! so in my honest opinion, i think it's utterly wrong to make a utau of wowaka's voice, i've seen someone else do it and to me that's weird and disrespectful to replicate a dead man's voice like that, especially since he is not here to give permission on smthn like that. we all want to hear wowaka sing modern hitorie i'm sure but i would never go that low. & about me being this character, while i do appreciate the thought thank you, if you're referencing me specifically, in the most respectful way possible i do not wish to be named in that if that's okay! (my own boundary thingy)

I knew it was going to be wrong and disrespectful to everyone and it either way i was not going to because I was hesitant to do this and feel dishonoured doing to such a little thing to Wowaka. And yes that is ok to not name you a character of mine. It is your choice after all!

It's certainly a very touchy subject in regards to what we can and can't do with a deceased person's work, because it all comes down to what those closest to them believe they would've wanted, or, what would be a respectful way to use their work. It all ends up being quite subjective, since a lot of people want to use an artist's work out of appreciation for them or want to honor them, but a lot of it can understandably come off as insensitive. And of course there's the problem of not being able to directly know whether or not the person would give permission to it. It's a delicate topic even _I_ wouldn't know how to handle, but regardless, your hesitance really shows your care for wowaka.
