I heard Lukas talk about this song a lot, so I figured I'd check it out. Back when R*S was on, I was really young at the time. Great guy, great vocalist!!!!!
I wish this show was still on. You got to see some incredibly talented unknowns. I have listened to Marty Casey's band the Lovehammers since he came in 2nd the first season. I was glad he came in 2nd because I didn't think he fit INXS. Lukas is incedibly prolific as a writer. I just wish Rock music was still the dominant music instead of all the boy band garbage & hip hop. I like drums & guitars and a guy who can belt out a tune like Lukas does in this video.
He sang Head Spin three different times. He sang the same song even when he didn't get the encore and got to the bottom three. He was really behind his own song. That was a clear FU to Rockstar Supernova who inexplicably chose Toby's song. Haha.
Actually Ben, That song at that time was not only excellent, but it was well performed. It was what set the tempo for him and the judges who ultimately chose him as the season winner. They immediately, made a video with Lukas leading the judges (group) in their short lived band Rock Star Supernova. In essence, that song sealed it for him... He just had to maintain consistency along the way.
BIG HENRY I agree that Chemical Dreaming was pretty good too from Toby. Was that the title? However, I think the anti substance abuse message didnt sit well with the band. I think Head Spin fell into the zeitgeist of what rock music was at that point (and a lot people felt that that era - 2000s was pretty bad). Toby's had an 80s feel.
jessedabody I wouldn't go that far... He did well on several songs. I was turned off by him in real time, but looking back his performances and voice grew on me. What songs did he do that were awesome after SN?
Everytime I hear this, I remember his girlfriend (at the time) had been left outside of the club while he celebrated winning the contesr withTommy Lee and the guys. She kept phoning/texting him to ask him to come out to get her, but he said no because Tommy didn't want people to know Lukas had a partner, as it wasn't a rock star look.

DaPhatPhantom I wouldnt say that Lukas just toured with Bon jovi in his new band Stereo Satelite and the band before was singing for Ben moody of evan essance,John(john?) buckner drummer from rage against the machine..They were called The Halo Method.His band now Stereo Satellite has Disturbed guitarist,and insaaane drummer..has some great songs.He,s doing good.Id Say lives in Nashville with a beautiful wife and great little boy.😀
A lot of people on the internet hated Lukas. They hated how he looks, how he sings, they thought he was immature and didn't deserve to win the competition. They felt the show was rigged.
Crap I miss this show. Soooooo many breathtaking performances and this one was definitely one of them. Remember it like it was yesterday

No idea. Didnt really follow them during the show. I was on board the Magni train during the show. It was Lukas who grew on me post show.
