This is so how I feel daily working as a tutor. I'm a black, female chemist. You have no idea the intelligence I see in these kids that I know will end up never discovering their true potential.
They try to lock me out the door that was right, but I broke in, Was it right ? No But i did what I had to do..... Show me respect because according to there statics I died 5 years ago. How dose it feel to let tear flow? I dont know because growing up you can not let a weakness show.
Imagine if we all realized we are the same Take my skin and turn it within to show we are not what we claimed.... Cause my blood like his hers and they'res flow through out my veins, Then why are we so vain? Is it cause society shows us "perfection" through fame?? But i think all our minds should be re-laid cause it's not about black white Asian rich poor or gay... But it's about being true to yourself every night and day
I have lost so may friends and family to the street and to prison.Think about how many fathers are absent in many of our families. when a father is not present in a child's life the kid has a greater chance to be dead or in jail before the age of 25 no matter what race they are. FATHERS IF YOU HEAR THIS JUST BE THERE FOR YOUR KIDS EVEN IF YOU HATE THERE MOMS MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD KNOWS YOU LOVE THEM AND ARE THERE FOR THEM. But instead of writing the same sentence on the black board a hundred times, he made me do my homework. Thanks to him i graduated, and i never got the chance to thank him. He died years ago. I was a little thug, but he didn't give up on me. Don't give up on your students. One day they might surprise you.
