im just a boomer who prefers the 47 style dad hats, so low profile is the only thing ill wear from the 59fifty line. unless you have a big head, everyone looks like a child wearing their dad's hat in a regular 59fifty
If you have a rounded face do you need a 59fifty regular because it has square crown but if you have a very long face is better the low profile becase is rounded and that will be simetric with long faces
When they first started making the low profiles they were way way better. They look awful nowadays. When they first came out they were just a slightly scaled down crown version of the standard 5950. Now they are so low on the crown they aren’t even wearable smh. It’s a shame
Exactly the video I needed to see as I was wondering what the same hat different profile would look like and you did just that. Pass on the low profile keeping it traditional fer sure. Thx. Plus you can always steam the traditional and achieve a lower crown .. works best with all wool but even the polyester blends will shape … I prefer the old wool personally. we always just wore them in the hot shower and let them dry while wearing.. works also if your heads getting too fat to stretch it out .. pro tips from my days playing college ball. Always go with the regular fitted hat imo. Take off the stickers and curve it yourself then it’s golden 👍🏽 just my preference though everyone is different
The low profile hats have been so inconsistent lately I bought a navy Phillies one in my size it looks like a yamaka or hey Arnold hat. They were great 5to 10 years ago but new era is falling off. Also I have 2 of the same navy Detroit tigers 59fifty hats one of them is shaped and fits perfectly the other is shaped like a light bulb in the front. Ones made in Myanmar the other is made in Bangladesh
Yes the LP hats from 2016-2021 were absolutely amazing. Just slightly scaled down versions of the standard fit which was awesome. Now they look so ridiculous they are literally unwearable. The Bangladesh made hats of LP are absolute trash.
prefer low profile, just need a bit bend the bill than standard pre curved. you'll see 5950 LP magic. wish they build fitted LP without structure and little lower height crown
The retro crown fitted 5950’s on new eras website are absolutely amazing. I suggest giving one a try. Sad thing is they only offer like 15 teams in that old school look which is garbage.

The regular one looks goofy on you. Too big for your head/face. The low profile matches your head better IMO.

Just a regular fitted but a smaller size that I had to break in a little bit to fit perfectly on me
