How I wish you visit the pana-ad park and stadium because negros is celebrating now pana-ad sa Negros Festival (the promise in Negros festival) April 17-23, 2023.. Thanks for visiting the Philippines.. have more fun, enjoy, and travel safe.. good luck and God bless ...
TATER YOU IN BACOLOD OMG 😳 YOU GO TOO FAR 😂😅😂 GO TO DUMAGUETE in MANJUYOD SANDBAR VERY BEAUTIFUL…. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR BACOLOD ADVENTURES GOD BLESS AND STAY SAFE ✌️✌️👍👍👍👍🙌👌💕🇺🇸❤️
Welcome to bacolod! By the way the filling in the piyaya is muscovado brown sugar, it’s less refined and has molasses component to it, they do have other fillings such as ube, pandan and mango
This week we have Panaad Festival, its only for this week. The Festival itself showcases culture from provinces here in Negros Occidental, of course they open during late after noon to night. You can surf it first before going, that is if you are interested
I wish you would record and interact more with the locals. Like go further than a mere hello😊. However, I love how you just go for it with no destination plan 😊
Try a drop by at the cultural and food festival at Panaad stadium, a once a year celebration, every town and cities present their history, the highlights will be this Sunday, enjoy
I love the reckless abandon that you travel with, so many travel vloggers have everything planned out already that they miss the simplistic joy of talking to a guard and finding out about a treat you would have missed otherwise. I always call Piaya the Filipino poptart. The sugar inside is almost a molasses brown sugar called muscovado sugar. The province is Negros Occidental (ox-si-dental) for your own edification. Newly subscribed!
TATER YOUR VIDEOS are on the spot, but i believe you should interact more with the locals your views would triple, and you would have a blast promise take care sir
When you go back to Luzon/Manila, please spend time to Star City or Enchanted Kingdom(Theme Parks). Just want to see u screaming while riding a roller coaster.😁
I remember when I was in High School they had a stall for fresh piayaya in the canteen and it's only 5 pesos/pc. It was my first time trying it, it was hot and so gooood. I used to only have 5-10pesos as my lunch money. Sadly they closed it after opening for 3 months only, because most students would only buy that and not buy at any old food stalls setup by the faculty members. 😂 The piyaya always gives me the nostalgia
Nice to know you've been to this place in Bacolod it's along north capitol road & we've lived here somewhere this side of the road for 35 years ..btw the one video you show Iloilo with puto Landon is cassava cake not rice cake ...this place you're in Bacolod city is in negros occidental province
The cart with the green mangoes have condiments to choose from at the side (you might have missed it!). They usually have fish paste, spicy vinegar, salt, etc to douse them in. They give the green mangoes an extra kick!
@@tatertravels All good man, glad to know you're enjoying the PH! When you're in Iloilo, you could also stop by Guimaras Island (sweetest mangoes in the world!). It's like a 10-15 minute boat ride. Pretty cool island hopping spots too!
P40 for the watermelon is a good deal. I live in Manila and a whole watermelon costs P350-400 depending on the weight. I was a vegan for a few years and that's how I used to spend my lunchbreaks - walking around eating a container of sliced fruits. Try the local pineapples when you can. The Philippines is known for having the best pineapples.
Tater brother, my girlfriend and I love your videos. We are also currently traveling around SEA. Looking out for ya, we wanted to ask, do you have any hand sanitizer? Noticed you barehand eat a lot of food after handling cash and had gotten sick a few times while on your trips. I’m here in the Philippines right now and a lot of folks don’t wash their hands after using the restroom too for example. Kind suggestion to have some alcohol around at least to help save yourself from some further illnesses. Anyway keep up the great work, always look forward to your videos. Stay safe and happy travels.✌️
Where is your umbrella man? C'mon a macho man like you needs one. I like Paaya, those are the bomb! The dark brown ones are just brown sugar. They are basically a tortilla with fillings if you ask me. LOL
Its very hard for us Filipino's to go in USA, the embassy is so strict and denying most of the tourist applicants. In the other side, Americans have easy access to go here and enjoy the whole island. Just saying..
Bacolod is the capital of Negros Occidental. On the other side of the island lies Dumaguete, the capital of Negros Oriental. The two provinces speak differently (Cebuano and Hiligaynon/Ilonggo) but understand each other. The place at the beginning of the video is called Provincial Capitol Lagoon. Wait, did you walk from Capitol to Plaza? LOL that's a long walk...
I have no idea why comments were disabled when I published! So sorry everyone.

Maybe you uploaded it accidentally cueing #videoforchildren😆 just my guess tho

The regular piaya is usually brown sugar with molasses! Bacolod is the biggest producer of cane sugar in the Philippines
8:45 It's P12.50, like 12 pesos & 50 cents, not P1,250 that's absurd. Tater's reaction, priceless! 😂😂😂👍
Yes because in US they say 10hundred instead of 1 thousand so if you say 1250 it will sound liked 1,250.
I’m watching you eat while I’m on my IF 😂. If you like green mango you should try the green mango shake 💚
Tater,u should hv tried Bacolod Manokan Country..
New sub here just bec you love our food
Next time go back for the shrimp paste! So that you can contrast it with the sour green mango!
I really should have! I knew it came with something else haha
You should come back. You haven't tried the best food in bacolod
Hello brother 😉👍🇵🇭
Omg you're more like a local than me and I grew up there! 😅 Bacolod is a great, cost efficient place to stay! Thanks for featuring my hometown!

It's twelve pesos and fifty centavos ,very cheap 😊👍
Have you tried Beef Pares?
Subbed again. This time, with my new channel. I lost my previous phone an forgot my YT Channel password.
So, I created this one.🙂 🙂
You’re a generous guy! I can buy the whole watermelon for 100 pesos 😂.

The fish vendors are lined outside because the market is undergoing renovations
the watermelon was definitely 10 or 15 brother
Yeah I had a feeling lol
Nuh, it cost Php 50 per slice nowadays. The whole Watermelon that big cost around 200 to 300 pesos.
Where is your umbrella man? C'mon a macho man like you needs one. I like Paaya, those are the bomb! The dark brown ones are just brown sugar. They are basically a tortilla with fillings if you ask me. LOL
I think I just need a sombrero or something haha. that's as macho as I'm going to get
It's not brown sugar.. it's muscovado sugar and molasses...
