One of my favorite songs the only problem is I can't even sing it as good in my head as Brother Gene Dinwiddie does.
One of the greatest songs ever!
It doesn't get any better than this. I doubt it ever will.
Been remembering this song for thirty years. So good. So much soul. Thank you for bringing it to us all,
Heard this first in college 46 years ago (1973) and still love it. A truly kick ass song.
KTCL in Fort Collis, CO played this in the early eighties and I never forgot it. It's timeless.
Great album (which is now is way too expensive to buy !) RIP Phil Wilson and Gene Dinwiddie (2 of the best musicians I have ever seen) . I saw them at the Cafe A Go Go ,with Paul Butterfield featuring the 18 year old Buzz Feiten who was already incredible .
egyptianminor, the first time that I heard the live Pretzel Logic from The Rock and Soul Review album (Donald Fagan's) I thought…"Wow! Buzz Feiten is playing with Steely Dan!" Of course, it was Drew Zingg. Drew is one of my very favorites…I hate to choose a favorite, but Buzz is hard to beat as far as I'm concerned. NIce call.
NIce to mention Drew Zingg! We were in a band in NYC and played Jungle Walk at Le Bar Bat all the time. We're both huge Buzzy fans and when I heard how great Drew was ..and since Buzz mostly makes guitars now it's like more than carrying a tradition we need to hear! Buzzy used to live here in Woodstock and had a great band called Bang. With Freddie Beckmeir and Tommy Dawes and John Zdubek, Jr. On Drums.
@@ericparker1346 I actually have a Feiten guitar. It's a really well made instrument...of course!
@@brettgroh1112 I bet it's great! I have a friend who got one, he said it took a long time to get it but it was great when he fianlly did. I was wondering, didn't Buzz invent a special kind of guitar tuning too?
Yeah, one can totally hear the influence that Buzz Feiten playing had on Drew Zingg' own style on this very track in particular.
Hi there. Thank you for uploading this great album. I wonder if I could find the lyrics to this song. Most of it I get it but really would appreciate get it right completely. I am Italian and cannot get all of it.
"You warm my body with your sunshine. So c'mon, c'mon and take it away!" Wow, this is such a great R&B song with jazz tones. You just dont hear this stuff anymore. I grew up in the 60s and 70s with so many great R&B numbers. A lost art of musicianship and singing
