can someone explain what "mission" is? I know its something in the Christian religion but im confused hhshshs maybe i just dont have it in my country
Im pretty sure it means like help with the lord or somthing
@@im3036 I’m not completely sure, but I think it’s something members of the church of latter day saints (Lds or mormons) do when they’re like 18-20 or sth like that. They will go to another (often South American) country or travel through states in the US and talk about their religion and connection to god and so on.
Someone once said the people that go on missions for those LDS churches are basically trying to spread the religion and are going around knocking on houses and doors and talking to the people about how having Jesus in their life has helped them and are pretty much trying to convince people to become Christian or rather mormons… And I’m not sure about this one, but I assume they also do some volunteering or sth while they are there

My mom spoke Portuguese on her mission too!! She went to Portugal on her mission. Most of my cousins just came home from their missions and they said it was amazing. I’m so happy and excited for you!!😆

Could someone please explain exactly what's happening with Klai.
Klailea is going to be on a Mission in Brazil for one and a half year.
Generally speaking, a mission is a journey, where people do evangelization (spreading the Gospel by word and deed) and development aid, health work and social work, mostly in other countries.
At the church that Klailea attends, there is an opportunity for young adults to go on mission for usually a year and a half, usually in another country.
After sufficient preparation time, they proclaim the Gospel throughout the day, make home visits, volunteer, or approach people on the street and in public.
In some places, missionaries are only for humanitarian purposes or other special tasks. But it all depends on where they are doing their mission.

Such an amazing young lady, I just got home from a 5 day Christian camp which I volunteer at every years since 2002 (minus 2 years of Covid and maybe 1 other year) where I was on the under 4 year olds team ( actually in the 3 months to 2 years group) . The theme of the camp was renew, restore, rebuild.

I don’t see these types of mission in my religion so I am not use to seeing things like this other than what I see on UA-cam. I was surprised at my reaction to you reading the call because I don’t see why I’d be getting so emotional. Your call and your reaction as well as your families made me feel very at peace and full of love. I saw how proud and your family and those around you were and I just want to wish you the very best on your new journey. May God continue to bless you for many many more years and May he continue to provide strength that I see you had imbedded in you.
