MJX 10208 V2 Trucks - AMP & Watts Power Testing SHOCK!

- I decided to test both my MJX 10208 V2 " Little Monster " Trucks with the AMP/WATT meter because the second one I bought is significantly slower and way less mental than the first one I bought.
The first one is a mental wheelie machine, the second one barely wheelies and is slower. So which one is as it should be ??
I used 2 identical of 3300Mah, 4s 40c batteries and also 2 6200 4s 80c batteries. The trucks are fitted with 120 Amp speed controllers and questions have been asked if XT60 connectors are good enough for these trucks - being rated at 60amp CONTINUOUS power.
After identical tests ripping the trucks up the street and measuring the PEAK AMPS and PEAK WATTS, then multiplying the AMPS x WATTS to get a POWER score It proves conclusively TRUCK 2 is no way near as mental as TRUCK 1.
Here are the numbers:
3300 40c battery:
TRUCK 1 = 77 Peak Amps and 1062 Peak Watts = Power Score of 820
TRUCK 2= 59 Peak Amps and 831 Peak Watts = Power Score of 496
TRUCK 1 = Draws 25% More Amps Than Truck 2 & 24% more Watts.
6200 80c Battery:
TRUCK 1 = 81.96 Peak Amps and 1120 Peak Watts = Power Score of 918
TRUCK 2 = 58.9 Peak Amps and 768 Peak Watts = Power Score of 452
TRUCK 1 Draws 32% more Amps than Truck 2 & 37% More Watts.
Conclusion - Scientifically Proven that my thoughts of TRUCK 2 isn't as mental as TRUCK 1 - XT60 connectors are plenty powerful enough and a 120Amp ESC is certainly overkill for this truck, but looks good printed on the adverts.
Apologies for the slight out of sync sound at the end.
Very in-depth as usual🙃
I try my best..
Nice video, I think there could be an ESC quality control issue. My ESC just slowly couldn't get all the voltage into it when I check the app on my phone and was gradually reducing performance as days go until it just won't go on now. Getting the ESC changed at the moment
You are going to need to swap esc and motor over to figure out the discrepancy. Also bear in mind off road tyres will cause a larger amp draw, would of been more accurate to have had the same wheel's too
I'll be redoing the test tomorrow and will be putting off road wheels on Truck 2 and road tyres on truck 1 - that way a full comparison will be apparent.
Thanks
Did you download the app for the ESC on your phone and.connected to the ESC to see if all the settings for the ESC's are the same?
I did, thanks. It's something I actually forgot to check until a Facebook group member reminded me. Both Trucks are giving 100% on the app when the trigger is pulled to the max and my DumboRC 350 - that is connected to truck 2 says 100% on the screen. ( it also has a setting for 50 and 70% but all working correctly ). The truck was like this out the box even with the original TX.
Wow, that is very interesting!!! So now all it can be is either bad electronics in the ESC or a faulty motor.
@@philiprccars4340 I reckon so too. I have contacted the seller to ask their opinion and see if they are able to do any tests on another one .
