Thanks for the comment! I'm now living in Spain for a little break from frosty snowy Iceland. I totally agree with you. Black Ghost is my favourite all time fly.
Beautifully tied Black Ghost. It’s also one of my favorites. That was quite a huge seatrout at 6 kg. Wow! Sea run trout do exist in Massachusetts but they are pretty rare & extremely difficult to catch. It’s interesting that you used the Black Ghost as a sand eel. I’ve used plenty of sand eel patterns while fishing for striped bass but never thought of using a Black Ghost that way. No doubt it would work.

Hi Bob and thanks for the comment! Yes, this 6 kg fish I had on for over 30 minutes and pure luck I landed it at the end. It works for sure, I don't remember where I read it about the Black Ghost that it was suppose to imitate a sand eel. Maybe I'm wrong with that. Anyway the Black Ghost pattern seems to work everywhere.
Very nice streamer! I’ve never fished a Black Ghost before, but I’m looking forward to doing so……. Thank you Ivar!!! 👍🎣

A 30 minute fight & you land the fish? That’s skill, not luck.
I have to agree with you on that!
Will try it in Rhode Island

Very nice pattern well done. I like using the DMC material in some of my patterns lots of colors to work with. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Ed!
I agree, the DMC yarn is my favourite alternative fly tying material, endless colours to choose from.
You tie awesome fly's. I the a Royal Coachman Streamer with a Marabou wing. It works early in the season at the local lake.
Thanks Bob!
That's awesome to read that flies you pick up on my channel work where you fish them!
What do you think of using this marabou variation in the highland streams ?
I use this fly with both marabou and as a rabbit zonker wing. It works great with both wings.
