I'm always amazed at the knowledge that you have. Thanks for sharing these videos, I learn a lot from them. Only been working on classic Porsches for 2 years but i have huge respect for these cars. I hope to learn a lot more from you!
This is EXACTLY what I suspect with my 3.3L. I have the same issue, little to no boost. I did not check the cam timing when I put the engine in because I didn't have a Z block. Thank you for sharing this with me, you are a superstar for doing this in the car. It think I will pull the engine.
just take your time and work through the diagnostic tree. I would check engine leak down values, spark operation, and fuel before jumping into anything else. Kurt

Good god where are those beautiful mountains in the distance, looks like Switzerland
Flagstaff, Arizona
Now that you've fixed it- I want it! Maybe you could put a turbo on my car. Excellent!
Would be better to just buy a turbo car than trying to re-fit your car with a turbo

👍Well done Kurt, I knew you could do it.
Thanks 👍
Sounds just like my wife. “You got nuthin. I should be scared.”
Thanks

So awesome. Do the later intercooler cars have that same vacuum piston for changing the manifold length?
They do. I have a 3.3 and rebuild my engine completely. Discovered that my piston was seized and the rubber sealing rings where crumbling.
Yes they do
Kurt
pretty normal for those rubber bumper gaskets to break up.

Great problem solving. Annoying when you find someone has paid for substandard work
Yes it is.
