Tarja's band is an absolute powerhouse. Tarja and Marko are just unbelievable. So much power and charisma.. I feel so emotional, a mixture of ecstasy and nostalgia and surrealism... hearing the crowd's roar, watching the happiness on everyone's faces. This certainly is the dawn of a new era.
Let's hope so 😉 at least with Planet and Dead they actually played two not-so-often played songs. Did you notice tarja's start, when she belts like a beast?! I almost passed out! And what do you think of Left on Mars? I still haven't seen any comment by you! 😄

People complain about Tarja not singing the old songs with the "opera voice", but Apart from anything before Once, she was singing just in falsetto with that light and nasal tone I cannot stand. So give me full chest voice any time with thunderous head voice for the higher notes. Regarding "Left on Mars" .I have yet to find a proper recording where I can hear them. My first impression reminded me of the Doro collaboration which felt lacking to me. To be honest, most bands and musicians that invite Tarja to sing for or with them turn out underwhelming. Apart from that Fire will return song which made my jaw drop.
The first song by Nightwish I ever heard and I immediately fell in love. It's great how Tarja and Marko's voices complement each other. Fantastic that they are back together on stage. ❤

Floor got to open even with her pop songs for Metallica. Even her pop songs are metal enough for that audience.

They can play whatever they want to. Even though all the music and all the lyrics are written by Tuomas Holopainen, those 2 made all the success possible along Tuomas's writings and also own the rights to those songs. You can't blame Tarja that is singing older songs from Nightwish, usually she sings 1 or 2 at max, but with Marko she added 1 or 2 more to that list which is normal, why else would you tour with the your bandmate if not singing songs from their time together. I've said this for everybody who makes a fuss about the them singing songs from Nightwish. In the Raw tour she sang none of them and in Best Of: Living the Dream she sang only Nemo or Over the hills. You can compare her to Floor all the day, but the fact is Nightwish owns everything to her and due to that reason I think it's fair for her to sing a couple of Nightwish song. But beside this little wannabe incident, thanks for the post and recording!

And they continue performing the songs, because they are the recording artists, and it's a part of their career. You should ask the remaining two original members why no one else is around, lol.

As for Sami, he lost interest in being a professional touring musician. Anette, like Tarja before her, forgot that she was an equal part of the team and not everything should revolve around the lead singer. Marko and Jukka left due to health problems (And Jukka didn't actually leave the band, he still works in Nightwish, but not as a drummer). So Tuomas and Emppu are in no way responsible for being the only members of the original line-up. Also let me remind you that the original Nightwish line-up that recorded the debut album was a four-piece band (Emppu wrote the bass parts) and besides Tarja, three of them are still part of Nightwish, so what are you talking about? ;)

Tarja toured and collaborated with dozens of well known musicians in the industry. She never had issues with anybody, and has only been described as a sweetheart. Nightwish on the other hand has only two original members left, and lives in constant drama, with or without Tarja. They are the toxic environment.

Tarja sings these, composed by Tuomas Holopainen, songs as Marco. I only wonder why ??? Is there no other song for her to sing. Yes I know there are many other song she sings, but as kicked out from Nightwish why. Well I think I know; Tarja is so narrow subordinated singer, only a very good soprano though.
She sings the songs because she recorded them, with the band she founded and made famous. These songs are hers as an founding Nightwish member, and it's a beautiful thing that there is someone out there who can actually perform Nightwish songs live, and have them actually sound like Nightwish. The band can't do that anymore, unfortunately.
Marko needs to practice stage appearance. Missing base guitar left his hands unemployed and now his appearance ain't too good. Being more stationery would look better.

Créeme que es el sonido del video. Yo los vi en vivo en Argentina y cantan increíble. Cuando cantaron the phantom of the opera fue pura emoción y la nota final de Tarja fue majestuosa, fue tan alta que en mi video sale distorsionada. Un celular no soporta.

Tarja sings these, composed by Tuomas Holopainen, songs as Marco. I only wonder why ??? Is there no other song for her to sing.
Yes I know there are many other song she sings, but as kicked out from Nightwish why. Well I think I know; Tarja is so narrow subordinated singer,
only a very good soprano though.
She sings the songs because she recorded them, with the band she founded and made famous. These songs are hers as an founding Nightwish member, and it's a beautiful thing that there is someone out there who can actually perform Nightwish songs live, and have them actually sound like Nightwish. The band can't do that anymore, unfortunately.

Marko needs to practice stage appearance. Missing base guitar left his hands unemployed and now his appearance ain't too good. Being more stationery would look better.

Creo que eso es engañoso. Tuve que escuchar varias veces. La melodía de la música es prácticamente inaudible y el público canta desafinado. Todo esto junto suena muy extraño.
Tarja ha perdido bastante nivel...
