I have a lot (30?) of MBZ buildings on my N scale layout. I find it useful to cut back the roof joists a little bit to make it easier to add rain gutters. Evergreen products have plastic ones in many sizes and brass wire for the downspouts. For roofs I use Humbrol flat orange number 82 as the base coat and while it is wet, smear around Tamiya Nato Brown FX68 and Model Masters Burnt Umber 4605 unevenly. This gives a realistic weathered look to the roof. The oil and acrylic paints don't react to each other and when dry look fine.
For weathering I use a watered down Tamiya flat black on everything- it gives a nice effect. For painting walls I use Tamiya in various colours and have not had to use primer. I've found that there is no ill effect. I do use primer on the various Artitec buildings that I have and painted the roofs in the same way.
Regarding gluing the roof on it's best to glue all four walls and not just the gable ends- this makes the structure stronger. I will sometimes glue a scrap piece at the wall-to-roof joint to help this. MBZ makes fantastic models!

Great video! I have one of their kits, haven't started it yet. What is the thinner to use for the primer? Probably would want to prepaint those inner window and door frame sections before assembly

Very well-done video. ? about the glue for laser cut kits. Is this UHU glue the same glue used for plastic kits or is it special for laser kits? Also, are the plastic clamps also avbl at Reynaulds? Thanks,Peter

Use the MBZ mineral powder paints. With MBZ powder paints you never have to waste any paint. After use when the paint is dry you simply add a little water and can keep using the paint. Also, mineral paints never loose their their colors, they never get fade like most other paints that are not mineral based.

Great video. I do have one question about the painting part. Do I still need paint primer applied to model before painting if the paint says that it works on plastic?

The paint is really designed to work on laser cut wooden and card board structures. A sealer is recommend on these structures. As for plastic we have not tested the paint on plastic, will have to give it a try.
