I always saw my depression as a door in my mind that everyone has but only certain people feel it and once it opens, it cannot be fully closed. When I heard NF's mansion metaphors, I felt such relief (and also disbelief) that someone understood. Much love everyone 😊

"he must've picked the room and got confortable and settled in" notice how he is referring to fear as a person? and that person is still living in his mansion.. "is it me or the fear talking? i don't know anymore" oh we will find out.. also the line about his abuser taking him to the basement and "i gotta thank you for this anger that i carry around" is important too!
Remember him saying is it me or the fear talking and he personifies it by saying “he” and fear talking. Remember that for intro 3 and he and fear are having a conversation so when it sounds like he’s talking to himself it’s the personification of fear.

I think why people are so Afraid of rejection is because we all strive and thirst for love from other people so when it’s denied by another person it goes against our nature and flips our world/mental state completely around. Causing some of us to just break and give up, if u have a different view I’d love to hear it, new perspectives is honestly the best thing you can give another person

NF opened my ears and eyes to rap. Been on this journey a number of times with different reactors. At first it was hard, my brain was preset on alt rock, grunge and of course the classics, zeppelin, Pink Floyd... The only thing you can do is learn better ways of dealing with it. Like he does with his music. Because it'll always be with you. But things like writing about it, having an outlet etc helps you learn to live better so it's not controlling you.. I guess you could say I know how a lot of it is from my own bad experiences...it's definitely not easy at all!! He's done an incredible thing in dealing with things that he had no control over but still haunt him! P.s. I think why people are so Afraid of rejection is because we all strive and thirst for love from other people so when it’s denied by another person it goes against our nature and flips our world/mental state completely around. Causing some of us to just break and give up, if u have a different view I’d love to hear it, new perspectives is honestly the best thing you can give another person

NF opened my ears and eyes to rap. Been on this journey a number of times with different reactors. At first it was hard, my brain was preset on alt rock, grunge and of course the classics, zeppelin, Pink Floyd...
There’s a lot of great rappers out there now, and it’s actually what I gravitate to now. I tease my 32 year old daughter that I know more about the rap game than she does (🧐). If you haven’t yet check out Jelly Roll, Yelawolf, Sic World, Dax.... they are just a few of the greats, and of course.. Eminem is putting out really good music still.

Ah dang, you should have started with the first track on the album, which is Intro. It's more of a hype track and definitely more fun. Great reaction though - keep going! It's not all this dark.

@8:00, ish...when ppl have gone through really bad stuff, especially as a child, it haunts you..and no matter what you do, it never goes away... The only thing you can do is learn better ways of dealing with it. Like he does with his music. Because it'll always be with you. But things like writing about it, having an outlet etc helps you learn to live better so it's not controlling you.. I guess you could say I know how a lot of it is from my own bad experiences...it's definitely not easy at all!! He's done an incredible thing in dealing with things that he had no control over but still haunt him! P.s. He also never ever curses in his music..and yes he's a Christian but he's stated over n over he does not like that ppl call him a 'Christian Rapper' he's just a 'Rapper' who is a Christian😉🙏
