When I was young, my dad used to do all kinds of skillful useful projects sheet metal welding mechanical Etc. He saved a ton of money and had fun doing it. I miss him, I wished I would have worked more with him when he was around. Thank you for sharing❤
Can we please get an update on this!? I would love to see how it turned out. A friend has an 04 Polaris Ranger 6x6 with a blow up engine, would be an interesting project to try converting it to an EV.
The Ranger is working great with no problems. It is now a great machine, quiet, lots of power. Have you looked at both videos? Any question please don't hesitate to ask
@@roynelson2790 that’s great to hear! Yes I’ve watched both videos, very well put together! How has it handled the mountainous terrain near you? Does it struggle at all, and what kind of weight are you pulling with it?
@@DevelopingJon With a electric rig the accelerator controls the torque. After I got the project done I had too much torque (gas pedal was too sensitive, wild) so Isak (person that developed the controller) sent me a software update to reduce it to 50%. When fully loaded (2000 lbs. of water, equipment & driver) it handles the mountain terrain way better than the gas motor (40% slope at times). Isak is working on developing software for different torque settings. Keep in mind this is a work rig, not a recreation rig and only goes about 23 MPH because the gear reduction I did.

What a great build! You’ve inspired me to use the Resolve controller. Thanks for sharing!
Great job I love it!
So awesome... congratulations!

Roy, do you have an email? I'm preparing to do the same project and have a few questions. Thank you for the video!
I am hesitant to put my e mail out to the world. You send me your e mail or phone number and I will contact you.
