This song really match for the atmosphere for the darkness and sadness of heaven's feel route. it somehow mentioned how ironic, doubtful and hard for Shirou (us, players) to choose to be the hero he promised to Kiritsugu but can't if we want to save Sakura.
Yeah, the song really fits well the idea behind the route, which is a man who discards his dreams and dives into the darkness to save his most important person. I might also add that as different as Shirou and Sakura may appear to be on the surface, their souls are broken (in a similar manner Saber's soul is also broken due to all the events she blames herself for). In a way the one heroine who shares no actual similarities to any other character is Rin.
LeonGun8 Personally I think all 3 three heroines for Shirou however I agree Rin's unique. In Fate and Heaven's Feel It's about Shirou saving Sakura and Saber. However in Unlimited Blade Works it's actually Rin trying to save Shirou which is why I believe it's like this: Shirou is good for Saber and Sakura, but Rin is good for Shirou.

Either that or the 'wind' that restrained Shirou when he used Archer's power for the first time. Archer stands in the wind, not even flinching by the very same thing that let Shirou unable to move and asks Shirou if he can keep up with him. Angered by Archer's words, Shirou cuts through the wind claiming that Archer will have to keep up with him and not the other way around, for he will surprass him.
Can't wait for Kirei vs Hassan of the Cursed Arm, Shirou using Nine Lives Blade Works, and Rin using the Jewel Sword of Zelretch for the Heaven's Feel movies.
Heaven's Feel (for me) is extremely dark and gruesome yet at the same time sad and depressing. Sakura's life is fucked-up considering what she has been through(not saying because of, duh, spoilers) and the only thing that made her not insane and get a grip was Shirou. Not to mention the worms in her body keep eating at her Mana and feed off of her carnal desires, and it doesn't help that at a young age she was influenced by the extremely cruel "training" of the Matou family. Sakura throughout her life was never loved or even cared for by her 2nd family and began harboring hatred against them and her own father and sister. Shirou, as well, I feel is getting more and more of a character development here as he feels conflicted because of his love for Sakura and his ideals, his wish is tested when the person he loves is danger and goes beyond his wish. He wants to be a "Hero of Justice" who protects everyone but he would have to forsake it if he wants to protect/save Sakura. (Side note here: My OTP is still Shirou x Saber no matter what happens. Their reunion at the end of Fate (or should I say the "Avalon" episode, which is the sequel) made me cry like a baby.)

@@Xernitory HF true end spoilers(just in case for ppl who haven't read it stumble upon this comment): Iliya using heaven's feel to make a miracle come true is my fav moment in all of Fate, i know some people don't like it cuz of a happy end but fuck them, it fits with Iliya's character and her relationship with Shirou in HF route and has been building up since halfway point until finale, it also cemented Iliya as my fav Fate female character.
I like this opening. It wouldn't be out of place in Corpse Party. Then again, Heavens Feel is, to me, at least, a combination of the best parts of Fate with the feeling of horror from Corpse Party. I suppose there are many who disagree. Still like it. Also, this song seems to be sung from Sakura's point of view, I take it?
Nitzudan I feel like it's actually sung from HF Shirou's point of view. It speaks about abandoning ones ideals, protecting someone with their stained hands and "betraying yesterday's justice". All sounds like Shirou's dilemma from HF to me. Also it mentions a star that the person couldn't reach which I assume to be Saber (aka someone who stayed true to her ideals until the end and became a hero because of that), since Saber is referred to as some kind of star in several Fate songs.

Ah, Heaven's Feel, the reason I still have to wait for Hollow Ataraxia to have an anime adaptation, as well as a good Tsukihime adaptation. The movies will still be good though, but I would rather UFOtable focus on Hollow Ataraxia or Tsukihime. Well, atleast they already have Kara no Kyoukai.
Especially seeing as how HF is the best part of the original VN. I know they'll eventually give it a full anime adaptation, but I'm not holding my breath for Tsukihime. It'd be nice to have it adapted with actual content this time, but I think Tsukihime is like the Metroid of the Nasuverse at this point.
I don't feel satisfied reading through HF route. There are as much new secrets made as they are revealed... Shirou had been a hypocrite all the way through Fate and UBW, but HF Shirou is just a douche that prioritized his own convenience above all else.

Kill six servants and both the master and servant could use the lower grail and get their wish granted. Obviously that would defeat the purpose so the three families always aborted the war if an outsider was winning... until the fifth war came along (since Rin did not know the full truth).

The truth is, the Heaven's Feel ritual, requires SEVEN Servants to be sacrificed to the Holy Grail. The last master is suppose to use the Command Spell to get the job done. After 7 Servants being sacrificed, the path to the Root will open. It's also makes the last master transcend into higher form of existence, unbound by time and space, and of course, immortal. Which is what current Zouken seeks. Without the seven sacrifice, Holy Grail is only Magic energy container that kept several trillions unit of Magical Energy. A lot of energy to do something, but cannot bypass pre-existing laws. What is impossible stays impossible.

The mages were never deceived in that part and FGO gives you an example of a mage who won the Fuyuki War AND got his wish (the mage wished for wealth to fund his magic organization while the servant asked to be reincarnated as a human). Reaching the Root is a different matter altogether and most mages don’t even truly strive to do so since the known mages to have done so are either crazy or vanished. Most mages have more realistic wishes easily granted by a partially powered grail.
@@lenleon3699 No. The Fuyuki's Holy Grail War main purpose is to open the path to the Root. It was never about "granting wishes". The "killing six other Servant" is the lie to avoid other Masters except from the Three Founding Families to reach the Root. Kirei is the only one that actually tells that Holy Grail had limitation. Every outsiders before 5th Holy Grail War being told that the Holy Grail is the omnipotent wish-granting device. Kiritsugu will not joining the Holy Grail War if he knew that it had limitations.

Actually, this song is told from Shirou's perspective. If you think about it, it does completely make sense. It talks about protecting someone with their 'stained' hands, for the ideals were forsaken in the darkness. Shirou fully believes that he's a murderer (which he indeed is) in HF, yet he keeps struggling to protect Sakura even if there's no salvation for him. The man who betrayed everything he believed in must pay for his sins, that's what Shirou thinks. And yet, deep down he still holds a small hope of saving both Sakura AND himself.
I really feel for sakura. It really sad and disturbing everything that has happen to her. But still somehow i can never seem to like her the same way i like Rin or Saber.

@@kingortizjr.7580 That's an odd way to see it. She literally tells Shirou to hate her if she does something bad. SHe's happy when Shirou tells her she would be the first person to be angry at her if she were to do something bad. It's Shirou himself who chooses to protect her. I may also add that the two characters who back up Shirou in this choice are Ilyasviel and Archer, Ilyasviel being the one who gives him the actual push into 100% protecting Sakura.

Overall if there's one character with enough hold over Shirou's entire life it is Sakura (and Taiga actually).

@@Jake7105 Its the one where all the true characters a revealed. Sakura, Kirei, Zokan, Shinji, Illya, True Assassin, Rider. These were all characters which in the other routes where deliberately miss represented for the purpose of big reveals and plot twists. The other two routes where sowing the seeds for HF where they were paid off. Plus Shirou got actual development. Every other route was either "I shouldn't be sexist and I love saber because she is the first strong woman I've got close to, she's saved my life and I feel sorry for her" or "even though I'm actually seeing that I will regret my life choices I'm going to keep down the same path cos I'm in denial. Oh, and I love my crush cos she's strong, pretty, saved my life and feels sorry for me." Versus HF, "I've been an unrealistic machine due to my survivors guilt. This girl who has taken care of me for years and who I have a real relationship with is actually very broken like me and I will change my beliefs because I have found meaning in life besides being my own sacrificial pawn." Just feels like more effort went into HF and the entire VN was building up to it. It just really felt like the finale to the VN has a whole.
There is definitely an intended order to the routes. But that doesn't mean there is any one canon ending. In fact the sequel to fate/stay night isn't even based on any one ending so as to avoid creating a single canonical ending.
@@Jake7105 Yeah, HA draws from all them after Rin converges the dimensions. (We will go with that to avoid spoliers) But what I'm saying is that HF is the route with the most emphasis on it and likely the one most people imagine to be the true ending. It's the one fate zero set up the most and the one Ufotable is putting on the big screen. The one ufotable is taking the most time with and putting the most effort into. In video games the ending that gets a sequel is cannon. Type Moon side stepped it with HA but Zero and the HF movies seem to hold true to that fact.
While Heaven's Feel is by far the best route in the VN; I am saddened nonetheless by what could have been. For Heaven's Feel was actually supposed to be Illya's route, but they lacked the time so they merged her and Sakura's route together. Maybe it worked out better in the end but sadly we'll never know nor be able to save Illya.
Heaven's feel is so dark. Sakura has a shitty life because of her fake grand father and her father that give her to the Matou. The only reason of Sakura to live is Shirou. But the sad fact is that Shirou loves Tohsaka.
Why would I regret it? It actually answers every lingering plothole and mystery left in the story and finally acknowledged the huge elephant in the room that was the Matou family's backstory and Shirou's unhealthy obsession (it is only in Heaven's Feel that Shirou finally acknowledges he is a warped person who was deceiving himself into seeking an unreasonable dream).
For me HF is the best of fate series, though it isn't like the other part of other FSN like UBW which is bright and fun, it just prove more HF is dark and gloomy, but it just felt more real, the thing is even on fate UBW I confused that Shirou dont even look further about Sakura identity cuz obviously she's the one with problem. That is before I know UBW is just part of FSN series

Ah, Heaven's Feel, the reason I still have to wait for Hollow Ataraxia to have an anime adaptation, as well as a good Tsukihime adaptation. The movies will still be good though, but I would rather UFOtable focus on Hollow Ataraxia or Tsukihime. Well, atleast they already have Kara no Kyoukai.

Kill six servants and both the master and servant could use the lower grail and get their wish granted. Obviously that would defeat the purpose so the three families always aborted the war if an outsider was winning... until the fifth war came along (since Rin did not know the full truth).

The truth is, the Heaven's Feel ritual, requires SEVEN Servants to be sacrificed to the Holy Grail. The last master is suppose to use the Command Spell to get the job done. After 7 Servants being sacrificed, the path to the Root will open. It's also makes the last master transcend into higher form of existence, unbound by time and space, and of course, immortal. Which is what current Zouken seeks.
Without the seven sacrifice, Holy Grail is only Magic energy container that kept several trillions unit of Magical Energy. A lot of energy to do something, but cannot bypass pre-existing laws. What is impossible stays impossible.

Reaching the Root is a different matter altogether and most mages don’t even truly strive to do so since the known mages to have done so are either crazy or vanished. Most mages have more realistic wishes easily granted by a partially powered grail.

The "killing six other Servant" is the lie to avoid other Masters except from the Three Founding Families to reach the Root. Kirei is the only one that actually tells that Holy Grail had limitation. Every outsiders before 5th Holy Grail War being told that the Holy Grail is the omnipotent wish-granting device. Kiritsugu will not joining the Holy Grail War if he knew that it had limitations.

In all honesty, I don’t really like Sakura, but still.. This song just tells you what’s going on with her and makes you wish the best for her.
Actually, this song is told from Shirou's perspective. If you think about it, it does completely make sense. It talks about protecting someone with their 'stained' hands, for the ideals were forsaken in the darkness. Shirou fully believes that he's a murderer (which he indeed is) in HF, yet he keeps struggling to protect Sakura even if there's no salvation for him. The man who betrayed everything he believed in must pay for his sins, that's what Shirou thinks. And yet, deep down he still holds a small hope of saving both Sakura AND himself.

I really feel for sakura. It really sad and disturbing everything that has happen to her. But still somehow i can never seem to like her the same way i like Rin or Saber.
That is easy to understand though she isn’t a bad character it’s the lack of development in the previous adaptions

tbh maybe in the novels they give her more development cuz as for the 3 routes ive seen (UBW, Fate/stay night and heaves feel) sakura has never been one of my favourites nor do i see how shirou end up in love wth her while rin and saber is around....
@@kingortizjr.7580 That's an odd way to see it. She literally tells Shirou to hate her if she does something bad. SHe's happy when Shirou tells her she would be the first person to be angry at her if she were to do something bad. It's Shirou himself who chooses to protect her. I may also add that the two characters who back up Shirou in this choice are Ilyasviel and Archer, Ilyasviel being the one who gives him the actual push into 100% protecting Sakura.

@@kingortizjr.7580 I dunno how much the movies took out but in the VN we're given a bunch of backstory about Sakura and Shirou's friendship beginning with how he met her the first time he went to the Matou household to spend time with Shinji. Overall if there's one character with enough hold over Shirou's entire life it is Sakura (and Taiga actually).

We all have aour fav-route but we can admit that HF is the canonical route for fate stay night.
There isn't a single canonical route. Every route is it's own canon.
@@Jake7105 Its the one where all the true characters a revealed. Sakura, Kirei, Zokan, Shinji, Illya, True Assassin, Rider. These were all characters which in the other routes where deliberately miss represented for the purpose of big reveals and plot twists. The other two routes where sowing the seeds for HF where they were paid off. Plus Shirou got actual development. Every other route was either "I shouldn't be sexist and I love saber because she is the first strong woman I've got close to, she's saved my life and I feel sorry for her" or "even though I'm actually seeing that I will regret my life choices I'm going to keep down the same path cos I'm in denial. Oh, and I love my crush cos she's strong, pretty, saved my life and feels sorry for me." Versus HF, "I've been an unrealistic machine due to my survivors guilt. This girl who has taken care of me for years and who I have a real relationship with is actually very broken like me and I will change my beliefs because I have found meaning in life besides being my own sacrificial pawn." Just feels like more effort went into HF and the entire VN was building up to it. It just really felt like the finale to the VN has a whole.
There is definitely an intended order to the routes. But that doesn't mean there is any one canon ending. In fact the sequel to fate/stay night isn't even based on any one ending so as to avoid creating a single canonical ending.
@@Jake7105 Yeah, HA draws from all them after Rin converges the dimensions. (We will go with that to avoid spoliers) But what I'm saying is that HF is the route with the most emphasis on it and likely the one most people imagine to be the true ending. It's the one fate zero set up the most and the one Ufotable is putting on the big screen. The one ufotable is taking the most time with and putting the most effort into. In video games the ending that gets a sequel is cannon. Type Moon side stepped it with HA but Zero and the HF movies seem to hold true to that fact.

While Heaven's Feel is by far the best route in the VN; I am saddened nonetheless by what could have been. For Heaven's Feel was actually supposed to be Illya's route, but they lacked the time so they merged her and Sakura's route together. Maybe it worked out better in the end but sadly we'll never know nor be able to save Illya.

Why would I regret it? It actually answers every lingering plothole and mystery left in the story and finally acknowledged the huge elephant in the room that was the Matou family's backstory and Shirou's unhealthy obsession (it is only in Heaven's Feel that Shirou finally acknowledges he is a warped person who was deceiving himself into seeking an unreasonable dream).

For me HF is the best of fate series, though it isn't like the other part of other FSN like UBW which is bright and fun, it just prove more HF is dark and gloomy, but it just felt more real, the thing is even on fate UBW I confused that Shirou dont even look further about Sakura identity cuz obviously she's the one with problem.
