The Chinese navy have lots of warship armed with long range antiships missiles aside from their submarines and aircraft launchers...our navy cannot face them ship to ship even if we buy another few warship.My opinion is get enough shorebased mobile anti ship missiles in long and medium range launchers just to protect our EEZ...of course we need also anti aircraft missiles,anti missiles and any SPAAG 25 mm or 30 mm cannons model for any kind of drones
In the context of China becoming more and more aggressive, countries in the region need to unite more to deal with the common danger. Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia have recently had a very welcome relationship.
The matter regarding CMS shouldn't have been so controversial. During the time of the negotiations, Samsung-Thales (a joint venture between Samsung of Korea and Thales of the Netherlands) was manufacturing a version of the Tacticos Combat System. However, Samsung sold their share of the business to Hanwha and Thales followed suit. Hence, the product they were producing became the Hanwha CMS baseline zero. Technically, the same product was installed.
In reports, Tacticos is significantly more expensive than Hanwha CMS. The Philippines' recent strong modernization of its forces is very significant, and of course the costs for them are huge. Hanwha CMS is probably a reasonable choice. Congratulations Philippines.
You can expect more new acquisitions for the Philippines. News just came out today that Re-Horizon 3 of the RAFPMP will be extended to 10years and will require a total budget of U$35-billion. Per some defense pages the MRF, additional attack helicopters, upgrades to the FA-50 and completion of FFBNW items on the JRC, Corvettes (TASS) and OPV are among the priorities.

This is an indication that the inexperience buyers (the Philippine Navy) was being biked by HHI to maximize their profits on their first frigate purchase. One would think that HHI would help the PN in obtaining powerful frigates for the budget they had. Instead HHI allowed the PN to obtain ships which is even more inferior to the very old Pohang Class. HHI and its country should be ashamed of itself. Professing itself to be an close ally of the Philippines and grateful for their outstanding service in the Korean War. So why didn’t HHI suggest the HHI 3200 then and its more robust weaponry and systems charging less for what the PN paid for the Rizal Class. Wasn’t it all a ruse to get the PN to order more later while flaunting these new ones as cheaper? Shame on HHI! Shame on SK!

CIWS and VLS SYSTEM, and TAS systems. Still FFBNW but waiting for budget for installation, but still has enough weapon systems for a one on one Combat Situation...
Tis frigate is useless without vls and ciws. He can't defend himself without this 2... Hahahaha. It's a downgraded and corrupted class frigate. Hahahaha
@@gamer_gex8 is better than none. That fact that they, also, don’t come with CIWS is a major problem. Manual-operated SHORAD might be ok from ground/land operations but naval operations it isn’t ideal.

CIWS,VLS,함포, 무장등등 필리핀의 예산이 되면 언제든 업그레이드가 가능하도록 마련되어있습니다. 문제는 필리핀은 최근에와서 한꺼번에 해군력과, 공군력을 강화하려하기 때문에 예산을 확보하기 어렵다는것을 잘 알고 있습니다. 그래서 한국에서는 추후 업그레이드가 가능하도록 플랫폼을 확보하고, 필리핀의 해군력 공군력에 일단 강화하는 목적에 초점을 두고 있는 상황입니다. 앞으로 필리핀의 경제력이 나아진다면 해결 될 문제라는 뜻입니다.
