The thing is, Chain of Memories/KH2 implies the Darkness,/the Organization/Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, is weaponizing "the Hero Archetype" against Sora. The need to save people. Xigbar directly calls it out , that Sora cannot help himself from saving people from the Darkness/Heartless and therefore, is doing to do what They want. And because he keeps sacrificing his well-being to everyone else(because without them, what good is he?), he keeps breaking to the Darkness. This is the False light. But Riku, Riku is the True Light... the one Sora, we believe, will learn from.
