    Pre-spray with ONR
    Steam with Optima XD
Steam is safe on the paint and will not create contact or temperature damage making it the future of car detailing.

Steam isn’t safe for the paint just as bad as using a waterless wash lack of lubrication causing swirls

Spotless rinse and soap is better but if this is not an option, this is next best. Spotless rinse is faster too. Even if you wanted to use steam only, a spotless pressure wash and follow up with steam is an option as well.

@@hakman239 So in those cases you may use a rag soaked in onr and pre-treat with onr. It works fine although it is much slower process. Totally recommend Optima mainly for interiors with an option to use on exterior if absolutely needed.

What a ridiculous comment, sorry. You do realize that black car paint surfaces can heat up to over 100 degrees Celsius (212F) on sunny hot summer days?
And that it is a sustained heat, not just a flash of 100 degree steam that basically almost instantly cools to around 50 when it leaves the nozzle.
Or do you think this guy is somehow able to withstand 100 degree Celsius hot steam on his bare hands?
Please, think before you write something...

no not at all. It only gets surface dirt, and in a bad way..look at his towel when he pickes up the first dirt.
There a reason why detailers usea contactless-cleaning or prewash before a contactwash.
      Never ever do this!

Nop... never steam your car. Far just moves the dirt on your car and then rubs it off with a microfibre cloth. Here you get scratches on your car paint, which you want to prevent. It may be environmentally friendly, but your paint will suffer. This is why i always wash my hard with my hand and with water.

Super dusty, not even close to dirty.

    • @sadoka
      @sadoka 3 роки тому +1

Dust and sand are the enemy, not traffic films because you drove on a rainy day. Traffic film is hardly able to scratch or wear paint. It is the sand and the dust (possibly trapped in the film) that scratch your car.
Steam is perfectly able to remove traffic films. If not, just use a bio-degradable foam diluted with water in a spray bottle and soak the car first. Then just pass the steam alongside it and it’s clean.
I use a steam cleaner on my rims and it cleans it just fine, comparable to a dedicated wheel cleaner. If it doesn’t want to come off because it’s baked on, I use the same diluted foam in the spray bottle on the wheels and soak them for a minute, which works great.
Cleaner than a regular wash even, steam is able to get through the pores of the paint, where as water isn’t.
