ray allen has shot his highest percentage from the 3 pt line 2 years in a row. . i think if he still had his own team he'll still be averaging 25 ppg

I'm a Celtic fan and i'm happy for Ray Allen. He had the guts to do what he wanted to do unlike alot of other NBA players who don't wanna be criticized. And btw, he's going to the Hall of Fame as a SuperSonic.

I hope my fellow Celtics fans keep it classy when Ray's in the building. He's a class act and still has the smoothest jump shots you'll ever see on tv or in person.

Why hate a player for a decision that's going to be beneficial for himself and the team he's moving to? He gave Boston so much, and we appreciate that, good for you Allen, whether it works out or not, in the end it's his life.

Ray, undeniably, made the right move. His production was going down in Boston and he was bound to be traded during the season. He now gives himself a chance to not only win a ring, but be in Miami, instead of potentially being moved to a team like washington or charlotte.

I don't know how you can call people who dislike this decision "not a true fan of the game." A business man would probably appreciate this decision, but a "true" fan of the game would enjoy an overall competitive league, not a league where players find it easier to join a powerhouse team in order stay to relevant/win championships. I feel like Ray's decision was a slap in the face to Boston. And I'm a Laker fan.

People need to stop getting so mad. Pat Riley has obviously been planning this for YEARS. His intelligence with basketball is remarkable and the way he has set up this team is pretty amazing. This is a plan that has been in the making for years. Gotta give him props for getting a team this good together. Reason no one has ever done anything like this before is because they didn't think it was possible. EVERY team would have done this if they could. Riley is just smart and did it first.

Allen Iverson was my Favorite Player after Michael Jordan.i Never Missed a televised Game.2001 76'ers vs Bucks series,76'ers vs Raptors series(if u are looking for a Superstar Showdown,Iverson and Carter delivered Every Game in this series) were some of the Best Playoff series i have even Seen as Far as Superstar Duels.
i am a BIG Fan of the NBA since the Jordan Era.
We are almost at the end of the Kobe Era.
    Currently in the LeBron Era.
and going into the Durant and Derrick Rose Era.

All these Celtics fans are purposely seeking out this to yell at Allen, one of the classiest players of all-time.
I'm a Mavs fan but this guy is still a huge threat and he's never done a single bad thing in his career to disrespect anyone. The Celtics almost traded him twice, he had a bad relationship with Rondo; he left cause his contract was up and wanted a better opportunity to win.
Why hate? Cause you don't like the Heat? So what? They acquired him fair and square, it was his decision.

Wade was almost traded in 2010, the Miami dade community reunited and we let Wade know how much we appreciate him and love him which helped change his mind cause he was about to go to the Chicago bulls. I didn't see the Celtics fans do what the heat fans did to change Ray Allen's mind..

What are you talking about? Didnt you see how effective we were against the Thunder with that lineup. His versatility allows us to have our best players in the game at the most crucial times. I know some might disagree but Battier's has intangibles and a defensive presence that just doesnt reflect in his stats. If he can hit three pointers consistently this is our most potent lineup.

  • @overactive1

i can see why allen left, with Jason Terry and Green, Allen's role in the celtics will diminish greatly. No matter how humble he is he knows he is one of the all time greats and doesn't like being sidelined. I think that is why he joined the heat

I won't lie, I didn't like Ray when he was with Boston, but that's because he always made every shot he took it seemed when playing the Heat. As a person, he's a great guy that has a ton of respect for everyone due to his military life growing up. He cares for people/kids with all of his diabetes contributions and computer's class rooms in schools. I'm happy he's with the Heat now and hope he has a good run with them. He's a good guy.

Couple of resons why Ray is justified: btw im a huge Celtics fan (favorite team)
    1. Ray is getting old. you must understand the pressure hes feeling and the desperation in trying to prove hes still useful. he wants 1 more ring b4 he can say hes done
    2. Hes been fighting with Rondo, and fighting with the player who supplies most of the passes in the game doesnt give him chances to shoot.
    3. Excellent passing and clear teamwork by the Heat in providing assists. Ray wants that.

I understand that against the Thunder it was a good lineup, but in the regular season I think it is in their better interest to have him on the perimeter, Battier is a very good defensive player I agree, and he can guard the post well too, sliding him to PF at times isn't a bad idea.

Not unless people choose to go because of free agency. NBA players already have a lot of money, so most of the Miami Heat roster chose to go to Miami (LeBron, Bosh, Allen, Lewis, Battier, Miller, etc) so the teams didn't necessarily manage their roster (through trades, etc) they just cleared out cap space. Also, Miami is a nice place to live in if you have money.

I"m not a Ray Allen fan, but I can respect his decision to leave the Celtics. The man is a talented player, a leader, NBA Champion, and NBA leading 3 point shooter. In the Celtics he was put on the bench, was not aloud an active voice and was subjected to a cocky prissy PG Rondo who is not even in the same conversation with this HoF. He had a skill set which he wanted to provide for his team but was denied. So here he is taking it to a team that wants it. Crying peeps only becuz it's the Heat.

Not really everyone has a favorite player and luckily Miami has quite a few. D Wade has been one of my favorite players I luckily "jumped on the bandwagon" as you would say in 2005 and have been extremely happy with my choice of team. Some people came for James some for Bosh and now we will have more fans from Allen and Richard. So you can hate on the fans all you want but we will still be happy when we repeat next year.

  • @Kev1127X

Ray shouldn't get slammed so much by Boston fans. I mean he did deliver a championship and he played his but off on every game he played, the finals game in 2008 where he was playing with one eye. He deliver in the Chicago series that following year and he's a professional player that comes to work night in and night out. He's always the first player at the game and he's shoot a zillion shots before a game. Yes, he picked the "enemy" but lets remember him for what he did for the city of boston

  • @Squall564
    @Squall564 12 років тому

Oh, I know why he left the C's, what I meant is that he could have gone to a different franchise where he'd probably have got a starting role and higher salary than with the heat. The Heat's offer wasn't even close to the best one he got, but he wants a ring, so it was the right choice, as they give him the best chance at one.

Sure, with Allen and Lewis. But the improvement in a bench is greater with the celtics. They barely had any during the playoffs and especially with an older team, it hurt. Now with Bradley being able to play most of the season and the addition of Terry and Green, possible Lee, plus Sullinger, celtics will be able to get their starters much needed rest.
