@@InterstateKyle Yeah, or if it has to be a city, either Topeka or Kansas City, or even Salina would be ok b/c of the junction with I-135. But better to go with Kansas
@@InterstateKyle Agreed, as should I-76 be signed for Nebraska. Heck, I-70 west of Grand Jct. signs Utah at a couple ramps. And the Chicago area signs Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin as control destinations.
Like I said before, *"We don't talk about Limon."* I know I'm using the Encanto reference for "We don't talk about Bruno.", but I like saying that quote to Todd about not choosing Limon as a control city.
oi mate! aussie watching here. I know you've been stuck with copyright free music lately, so you should check out this small 80's like band called fire tiger, you might enjoy it ❤✌
E470 was supposed to be part of Interstate 470, but the beltway could not be constructed as an interstate because of environmental concerns and cost constraints at the time it was supposed to be built. C470 opened on the southwest portion of the beltway first, then E470 opened in the 1990s before the NW Parkway opened in the 2000s. The NW Parkway is unlikely to get expanded to meet Interstate 70 at C470 due to environmental concerns.
Fun fact... I've NEVER driven on E-470. There wasn't ever a need for me to. If I'm west of Chicago, tolls are something I just don't have to deal with (unless I'm on the Pikes Peak toll road, or sometimes the Kansas turnpike, of course). Probably explains why there's isn't much content from the eastern US on my channel. Of course that could change in an instant if we ever feel the need to head east one of these years... Anything's possible, I guess.
E470 is signed for *"LIMON!!!"* which is bogus which is the only bad signage for E470 (Control City Freak's worst control city for an interstate and other routes in the Front Range.). Also, again, we don't talk about Limon. I suggest they should only sign DEN Airport and then Cheyenne or Fort Collins for northbound. As for southbound, the airport and then Colorado Springs.
This is the sad road for me. I go out to Denver every year, and if I fly I take this road to get from the airport to where I stay in Highland Ranch. Going northbound means I am going back to the airport and leaving Colorado :(
You're the first person I've seen on UA-cam who did a time-lapse drive of E-470, despite the fact that nobody wants to pay for it. Hats off to you sir 👏
I’ve had a couple of layovers at the Denver International Airport before (going to and from San Diego), that airport did indeed look like it was out in the middle of nowhere. I hope someday in the near future, you can drive on the “real” I-76 through Pennsylvania and Ohio.
I can hear Todd now: Limon!? LIMON!? AAAAHHHH!!!
It should be signed for Kansas honestly

@@CrystalClearWith8BE someone should definitely make a "We don't talk about Limon" music video; Todd would love it LOL
4:31 I wonder what I-70 East is signed for…
Ah yes, Limon!
When I saw the Limon sign, I immediately thought of Control City Freak's Todd.
I love his channel!
When I was in Denver I took I-225. It's slightly longer but there is no toll.
Chicago's largest suburb is also named aurora
Cleveland also has a suburb named Aurora but I don't think it's the largest there.
The day I drove it, that day it was free. Was last early June.
CROSS THROUGH LIMON AND A GHOST (carrying Limon signs) WILL FOLLOW YOU HOME
Nice ride around Denver CO
Thank you!

This was your final day in Denver before coming back to California, and you spend the night in... Nebraska?
No. I still passed through six more states before returning to California
Where in Nebraska did you stay that night???
I literally said it in the video commentary…

Escape from Denver! BTW, how much did it cost you to drive on E-470?
Can't wait to see you drive on I-76 coming up!
I believe that the Throgs Neck Bridge(which carrys I-295/Clearview Expressway) got rid of it's tollbooths between 2014 and 2018

Thank you Dylan! Glad I was able to put a video together. It’s not a bad drive. The locals hate it for its toll rates though.
What was EP 66?
Everything is put into a playlist for each season.
