I listened to the audiobooks and it's a duet narration, meaning the female narrator reads all the female parts and the male narrator reads all the male parts regardless of who's POV it is. That's how it works so well in Flock and Exodus since both books are entirely Cecelia's POV. Typical audiobooks are dual narration where the female and male narrators switch back and forth depending on who's POV is being read. Female narrator will perform all parts, male and female, within the FMC POV and same goes for the male narrator when it comes to the MMC POV. I highly recommend listening to the audiobooks. They are hands down the best I've ever listened to!
Oh I was so sad when Dom died. All the books gutted me. Have you read the Legacy book One Last Rainy Day? I cried. I guess if your brain can not wrap around all the trauma or poly relationships this book would be a no.
Tobias is definitely a complicated character. I had a hard time with the fact that the boys were never going to choose her over their loyalty to Tobias. that coupled with the fact that C was SO young when all of this went down, and they never shared ANY information with her EVER lol. I couldn't have been with either of them under those circumstances. so while Dominic as a character is my favorite, Tobias I think in the end was my favorite for her.
@@romance.androsethese are my exact sentiments! Glad I’m not alone. As much as I loved Dom (RIP 😢💔 I’m still not okay) I wouldn’t want him for my sister or friend or even myself being that closed off and cold. Not in the long run. Tobias and Dom are def cut from the same cloth but at the end of the day, Tobias allows himself to feel. He turns it on and off. Dom? Not so much lol and at the end of the day, Cecelia was a romantic 🥰
I'm so happy for this review. Yes, they were all so emotionally abusive towards her. I am team Tobias and am actually mad at myself for it because he is such a terrible person. I think it's mostly Joe Arden's voice that's doing it in the narration more than anything else because the writing is actually pretty bad. The chapter long monologues are silly. Book three fills you in on Tobias' motivations, but it still doesn't excuse them. All the characters suck.
Tbh it was an aftershock for me. I knew it was unexpected and sad when I read the scene but it was all of the following chapters that made it hurt. 🤕 Hearing how the rest of them were struggling to move forward broke my heart 💔 but I said the same thing as you, from a writer’s POV Dom had to go so the story could move forward with her and Tobias but ugh it still pains me

I’ve totally decided to re-experience the series in a few months again thru audiobook! I’ve heard such great things ♥️
Omg the audiobook is a must specially because of the Frenchman . Joe Arden did such a great job with the narration 🤌🏼
100% the audio is the way to go with this series. Joe & Maxine are my audio Mommy & Daddy
I just finished book two and woah. What a ride!

This book had me feeling so many emotions!! I’m still not completely sold on Tobias tbh .. I’m #TeamDominic and I’m still so upset about this.

Was I the only one that didn’t cry when Dominic died, I mean it was sad but it needed to happened in order for her to move on and end up with Tobias.
Yh I didn’t cry too ,
No. I didn't cry. in fact I had reread it 3 times to make sure it had actually happened because I was just so confused and pissed
