Man , Lifeissimple , your video hits so close to home , it almost makes one cry . In the early 80's , my father who had to quit his job at a defense plant and stop smoking at the same time , and return to construction after having a desk job for almost 15 years , by order of the society .In the end he couldn't do it and feed his family . The elders gave him the option of either being DF or DA . I felt sick about how poorly the society treated this hardworking honest man , not giving a damm about his obligations to provide for five people still left at home , one being a severely autistic child . I could not treat him like an outcast while others [ even within our family ] did . We went fishing years later , just a couple years before he died ,where I broke down and told him how much I loved him , and said that I was sorry if I caused him any pain over the years . At that time , my eyes were already being FORCED open to the hypocrisy of the organization , the deceit , the lies, the politics . Then later I learned [ after the fact ] that the society had joined the United Nations as an NGO in the 90's , just 2 years after my fathers passing . They joined up with the WILD BEAST and become a partner in Satan's world wide organization .....the same Wild Beast , the society had been demonizing for nearly 80 years . One would think the least the lying Rat Basters could do is send a letter to my mother apologizing and reinstating my father for their finding "NEW LIGHT" and joining the same Wild Beast that my father was associated with , that got him Disassociated . But I think we all know that answer . We all can be thankful for Gods mercy , the forgiveness of our sins , and the resurrection . God Bless You All .
It's NOT just in JW's....(it's the Elephant in the Room ISSUE,for the shunned!!! In just about any Church,there are people who are only too glad to treat those who have Sinful personal-issues,as if they belonged in the leper-community and apply their "social-distancing" only too readily,and gladly with Legalism.They think their Sinful-Inclinations are not as bad as the one who apparently has been caught out in the Church,or who has been identified as an "especially-bad Sinner" Shunning,is of course, a Rejection and it can Destroy an individual if it is NOT done with The Love of God but with Legalism...Of course,there are things that do deserve Rejecting,in some Individuals with Gross-Sin but,is the thing that Serious an Issue to begin with with some of the other unfortunates that do get sadly shunned??? Why Disfellowship ???? If a person is truly bad, and living contrary to the JW doctrine, they will fade away without causing any disruption to those who wish to remain JW. Rather ... so many who are 'kicked out' are not actually bad people, but HAVE NO WHERE or NO ONE to turn to in their weakest moments. This is the most unscriptural and unkind policy in any group. This is NOT how Jesus taught. He taught by leading by example ... not by threatening !!!!!!! I know , I was there and experienced it.
The saddest part the WT's faulty policy is that they apply a scripture meant for people who are openly, or secretly SINNING. Define the sin. If a "brother" is out getting drunk repeatedly, or acting as an adulterer or any other PLAINLY understood manner that is contrary to a true Christian walk, then it wouldn't be an issue. However, they will put somebody thru this horrible policy IF THEY ARE JUST SEEKING THE TRUTH. If you find FACTS about the organization that the organization has covered up, then you are disfellowshipped for no blindly following the men that covered it up in the first place.
I remember when I was first baptized, seeing a young lady I had never seen before, sitting off to herself in the library of KH. I went over to her just because that's who I am; I'll never forget her eyes (so sad), and she said she was disfellowshipped. I touched her arm and said everything will be alright. After the meeting I didn't see her and never saw her again. One of my "friends" mentioned "didn't you know she's disfellowshipped?" I said, "I do now!" The whole concept didn't sit well with me then and now I know why; it's cruel and inhumane!

This policy is changing for the worse in my experience. I know two sisters who were wrongfully disfellowshipped. One was disfellowshipped for acknowledging her mistake in committing fornication before marriage, literally confessed the very next day. The brother lied about the whole thing even though she told on herself and was forced to bring evidence of one of his belongings from his room. Obviously she didn’t have anything but could describe his bedroom down to the many ties he had hung up in his closet. She was disfellowshipped for not providing enough evidence and the brother remained engaged to a woman he cheated on while giving talks. He eventually confessed his sin 2 years later but the damage was already done to this poor sister. Her family abandoned her. Another sister committed fornication not even baptized. After her baptism years later and upon getting married she felt the need to bring up her sin she committed as a child because she was asked, they disfellowshipped her for withholding that information. There are several things wrong here. For 1, we are taught that you are only disfellowshipped for not being repentive of your sin. The first sister was repentive. 2, when you are baptized you are forgiven for your sins, this sister was disfellowshipped. And 3, how could she have gotten baptized if supposedly God blessed your baptism with Holy Spirit. That to me means the Holy Spirit doesn’t exist in the Watchtower organization and the elder that approve everything are lying when they say they receive Holy Spirit.
Beautiful video. I want to share one thought in line with your experience at 3:30 in the video, when you encounter someone in crisis please take a deep breathe and take the time to help then. I too have missed an opportunity because it caught me off guard or distracted or in a hurry. I have made that mistake too. I pray the next time I learned from my mistake and do my best to help.

I was made to wait in the car with her untill after the meeting had started, accompany her to the toilet and leave at the last song, wait in the car untill mother had finished parading herself around the hall for attention. (Not even allowed to have the car heat on) all in case my sister did a runner. I was soft shunned from the day her disfellowshipping was announced. I was no longer invited to sleep overs, play dates, gatherings. I would be the last person 'picked' to work in field service with and would usually end up being 'the third wheel' noone wanted. I left unbaptised 3 years later at 17. Any wonder!!
There has been people that has committed suicide being disfellowshiped thinking they're unworthy and unloved that's not what Jesus would want which is not christian love.

If JW’s would actually read their Bible the way it was read here and stop cherry picking what is literal and what is symbolic and just let the Bible speak for itself, then they wouldn’t be shunning and they wouldn’t be having half the issues that they do with governments and “apostates” that they do now. The context of the 2-witness rule "if he does not listen to you (and)) to the church", then, he is to be to YOU,, (not to all the church), as a tax-collector or a man of the nations, to whom we are all courteous. How have they twisted even the scriptures, to make their church equal to the one referred to in that passage.
no verse says not to talk to them it says do not associate. shunning does not mean not doing good to such ones . all things are in love. saying you cannot say something to them is supporting white law not the law of the Christ or the law of God. Reading 1 kings 13 really helps us to see the parameters of dealing with those who are apostate and others.
Hey man Id like to suggest the NLT. I find it pretty close to the kjv and its very easy to read and understand. Im glad you didnt become an athiest or agnostic after leaving the jw cult. I have a situation in my family where my cousin who I considered my little brother joined a cult (assembly of god) and I am so heartbroken because ik just how hard it is to wake those on the inside. His cult has a lot of similarities to JW but it is worse… he doesnt believe in beards, makeup, short pants/shirts and the cherry on top is the “pastor” has control of his life. He cant have friends outside of the cult, he couldnt even SPEAK to a girl in the cult without “permission”. Couldnt be friends wo “permission”. No dating wo “permission”. Let me guess, when he finally gets to make love with another brainwashed member of the cult hes gonna have to ask permission😂. Its funny yet scary and depressing at the same time. A person who I loved dearly and had a great relationship with has been taken from me essentially the same as death… ik hes alive and well however its as if hes dead. No more texts, phonecalls and most importantly vacations and visits. He’s always “busy”. He isn’t even willing to set aside congregating for a few days to see me. He goes like 4 times a week and I’d have no problem with that if it weren’t the case that he does so put of a false sense that he MUST do it. That God will somehow look down on him for not spending half his life in a building that mind you is 1 out of TWO in the entire state of FL that teaches Christianity the way they do. But rest assured thats not a red flag because the pastor says they are the only true Christians and the only ones being saved😉Cults are REAL. Religion in the sense of deception and man-made beliefs and traditions and warping of the Word and God is REAL. Please man you and anyone reading this pray for him and his family. It happened to my family it can happen to anyone. Lookout for your loved ones and appreciate them bc you never know if a fate like this will hit close to home!

I'm not a JW but have been around both JWs and Pentecostal Christians all my life. The JW religion is without a doubt the true Christian religion. They are not perfect (but who is) but the understanding they have of the Bible is without a doubt the truth. When you compare to other christian dominates who still hold on to old pagan teachings like the Trinity and Christmas it gets easy to see that .
