TWO LARGE CRUISE SHIPS DEPART PORT TAMPA BAY | FL

Looking at the Port Cruise Ship schedules we noticed Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of The Seas was heading out of Port Tampa at 4:00 pm on Saturday 13th. So, we wet down to see it leave, since we still very excited at the resumption of cruising out of our home port. We were surprised to see an additional Royal Caribbean ship in port when we arrived. Not sure if it was here for maintenance or what, since it seemed to only have mainly the crew on board. Serenade did not depart at 4:00 pm as scheduled. About 40 minutes later we learned it would/could not back out of the narrow channel until Brilliance of The Seas backed out. Not too long after that, Brilliance did back out, made it’s turn in the channel, which is interesting to watch, and head out. Serenade then backed out and made the same delicate and slow turn around in the channel before also heading out on a five days round-trip western Caribbean cruise.
This video captured much of this without, hopefully, being boring for non cruise enthusiasts.
