Great job man! I said it once and I'll say it again. Somebody needs to get you a laser cutter and a 3D printer!

but the prpblem is that if somebody got him a laser cutter or a 3d printer it will be really hard for us to recreate the projects

I have both an old Coleco table hockey game and a newer Harvard table hockey game. The Coleco uses the same type of spring system to spin the players, but the Harvard uses a cog wheel mechanism (which I suspect is also used in the Super Chexx bubble top games). Thank you for this video, Sean, it's given me some real insight into how to make a new table top for my ancient Coleco game (which is unfortunately showing its age).

I own a super chexx and can confirm it has cog gear boxes for the spinning players. That said, this cardboard model is awesome. I mean I won’t be trading my super chexx for it, but, still very cool for a diy project.

You know what? I am 28 now and I can remember around 20 years ago, I was about to create this kind of thing (soccer version) on my own. I already made the human figure from clay, the field from wooden sheet and took some of the gears from another toys like Tamiya to create the "spinning" system. I was stuck with the gears and that 8-years old boy gave up 😭
After 20years, I found this video and I just realized that the spinning system could be achieved with simple springs construction 🤣🤣🤣.
Thanks man! I am thinking to create this tabletop game "again" soon!!

Well done.... making something outta of nothing that works is amazing !
The only thing I would've done is buy 9 more bags of army men for the only guy with the mine detector unit... it looks just like a hockey stick !
Yes a little heavy on the paint..... much better off with a bunch of very light coats of paint ( let dry in between) & spray from 10" inches to a foot away from the object !
You also need some white netting for the goals... should be easy enough to find !
The puck looks a little big.... maybe 3/4 of that size would work better !
Again and amazing job man....,you built something you can play outta dollar store items, how cool is that ✌😎
Thank you again for the great video & build !

I was thinking of building one of these out of wood for durability, but i might do this first to see how much I'll actually use it. I'd also like to add air like air hockey so the puck keeps moving, but it might be hard with such a small puck.
I played one of these for the first time about a year ago and i loved it, so much better than foozeball or whatever the soccer one is called

Great work again Sean! I wish we had such great $ or £ stores as they in the UK. When every I go to Canada or the US we buy loads of crafting things as we couldn't even get something as simple as white card here it would be a specialist store and overpriced. Also clever how you used the springs to twist the players.

I’m only 43 seconds in and I’m looking ay the comments and before I started this vid I already knew I was about to have so much fun building this or trying to build it. Your very talented at arts and crafts. I liked and subscribed because of your talent, who knows maybe you might have videos about something I might want to build one day. I should tell my friends to subscribe to you as well. But anyways I thought that I should get the things I need first and then come back to this video and start the project, that’s why I’m making a list right now, but getting the materials might sound simple to anyone else but not me, I’m only 10 years old as I speak and if you didn’t know, when your a kid the answer of a parent when you ask to get something you want/need will be 80% a no unless your some special kid. Anyways I hope you reach greater heights with your successful channel and even one day reach 10M subs if you can, and I hope you do because you deserve it more then anyone. And if you made it to the end of this then I’m super surprised. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

As a lifelong table hockey enthusiast, I've always been the "stats" man but never the "techie" guy. This video had me captivated.
Great content with strong technical quality. The easy-going dialogue, light b/g music and different camera angles for cutaways. Mike Emerick didn't hurt either.
Even your end product is usable. I dunno know. A wealthy hockey enthusiast might commission for a unique artpiece incorporating their favourite team and arena.
    Best.of success. MATT
