Beach Camping to Hippies

We stayed at some great campgrounds whilst heading North. Along the way we wondered around the township of Mullumbimby, oh boy is that a hippy town in a good way.
The next day we headed off into Byron Bay to walk out to the MOST EASTERNLY POINT OF THE MAINLAND AUSTRALIA.
We were so disappointed that it never happened, as we could not get a car park anywhere & if we did it was $8.00 to park your car.
So we drove down to the main strip of Byron Bay to check everything out, was that a bloody pain in the arse!! Finally, we found a car park at $5.00 an hour RIPOFF. Nice place but very expensive.

The smaller towns are good not as busy either. I don't mind paying as long as I'm getting value for money but some placed are just take the piss with their prices. No worries with the name mate it get a lot of people. 🍻👍

Absolutely agree, if one place seems slightly more touristy up goes the price permanently or just for the busy times, it might encourage a town to put in another caravan park or two, which might make the others more competitive ie cheaper 👍🏼🍻

It's not a bad place, just depends on what floats your boat. Just make sure you have enough money for parking.
