If a game's gonna charge you a one-time payment to play without ads, it might as well charge you to play all together. I wish more mobile games would do that instead of trying to sucker players into dropping real money on in-game resources or to skip over waiting times.
You are Canadian yes? The priced in game were likely USD it just doesn't tell you that anywhere and the app store charges you in CAD. Happens to me when I occasionally try to buy stuff most apps just don't account for different currencies
