17-20 hours is perfect, and if you take your time between missions to explore the brand new map, take on side missions and complete objectives/collectibles hunting, you can maximise your playing experience easily.
I don’t get why people are so upset about the run time either. My guess is it will be 15-20 hours for the main story and that isn’t bad at all! I’ve put countless hours into the first two games so I imagine it will be the same thing with this one😂
People just want something to complain about.
Hopefully there's more replayability features as well. Like doing boss battles again or something.

Exactly. If it's a full experience the entire runtime of 15-20 hours is great. I would rather have a fully condensed 20 hour game filled with all the action and moments of why I love Spiderman than a 60 hour game where there are slower paced and not as thought out
A solo Venom game would be super cool like an M rated game with a dark story like in the King in Black and Absolute Carnage story lines. Bosses could include Riot, Scream, Carnage, etc. (just throwing ideas lol) I would personally love a solo Venom game in the future.

If they do something with Gwen, I would want it to be a short spinoff like the miles morales game, but set in another universe, I don't want them to force her into the main series

@@Kwayjie After they introduce venom a green goblin wont be enough for a third game- i think green goblin will be either in the second game or one of the boss in the third game but after venom they need a bigger and more interesting concept/enemy for the third game but if they bring carnage in the third i would be happy as hell and i hope venom wont die in this game.
@@fseiba6718 you don’t know what your talking about. Green goblin would be enough for a 3rd game. He’s literally the main attraction in the Spider-Man 2 film.
I definitely think Knull will be referenced in the game but I don’t think he will appear in the game just because Spider-Man(Peter Parker)and Knull as I know have no history in the comics neither does Venom but in my opinion it makes more sense to have him appear as DLC in a Venom game than a Marvels Spider-Man game
Venom and knull have met actually in the comics. In fact they even fought more than once in the king in black and in the other venom runs,
Spider-man doesn't have any encounters with Knull. But Eddie Brock (Venom) definitely does. King In Black series, it's a good read
Hellnaw ,knull isn’t a DLC type character ,he’s a big bad that should be in one game story
Spider-man was fighting Knull with the Avengers and the Silver Surfer but that doesn't count as an encounter as they never met face to face

This is my theory on who venom is and I believe it’s 100% Harry Osborn. I believe it’s him because from watching your videos from your current review to old trailers etc, I seen that Harry knows the secret and Peter and Miles. While Harry is helping Peter know and figure information about the “Suit” it’ll come a time where Peter would feel like the symbiote isn’t the way for Harry to be healed because he’ll deem it as a dangerous weapon and try to destroy it. Harry will probably grow resentment and hatred for the Spider-Men and with that hatred from Harry and the symbiote combined would cause the full embodiment of Venom. I also agree with your theory on Peter will turn into venom temporarily like Ultimate Spiderman. I may be wrong but I think that’s where it’s heading. It’s seeming like the game is taking heavy influence from ultimate Spider-Man storyline

It more than likely is and I feel like we maybe going into the a web of shadows type story. Because of Venom's line "We're going to heal the world." While overlooking the city. And keep in mind the Symbiote healed Harry from a disease no one else could cure him from so I feel like he would try to spread this Symbiote to everyone in New York.

The concept of miles and Peter fighting venom wouldn’t be created if that was the case. Also I’ll believe it’s Miles over Peter because his hatred for Martin li. But other than that I think it’s Harry cause he needs it to survive.

I'm ok with them not introducing Gwen but introducing more spider people in general is definitely the formula jess would be a nice addition considering she got all of miles powers in the comics she would be a great student for miles and peter if they want keep building the team up it fits perfectly with the story

I don’t mind Gwen not being in the game but I would like a little Easter egg like what they did with Eddie Brock and others in the first game
If they have DLC for Spider-Man 2 it would be a good idea to have Carnage a three-part story like in the first game with hammerhead, but instead with carnage and you have to team up with venom to defeat him

they suck after replaying the game several times it’s such a slow down in pace when your trying to do everything as fast as possible
I’d love to see Peter keep the black suit at the end of the story to set it up for a 3rd game where it’s like a venom invasion on the city, or he looses the suit and it introduces null in the post credit scene. Either way I wanna see a venom take over in either the dlc (if there is one) or the third game. Another thought I had is Gwen being in the third game, in spider man 1 we had just Peter, in 2 we have Peter and Miles, I just think it’d be cool to keep going like that and let spider man 3 have 3 spidermen (women).
I definitely would have added Gwen, but I'd have taken influence from Ultimate Comics like they did with MJ: she'd be like a sister to Pete and would have come back for May's funeral but her flight from London was delayed. Spider-Gwen would have been Spider-man 2.5
I agree that would be a good idea for their relationship especially if it does something that the Ultimate comics chose not to do. Have a version of Peter and Gwen that are just friends I like them as a couple but not every version of them needs to date.
I'm starting to think Peter might be Venom, judging by how Kraven told him: "I sense a beast." And the fact that Connors (apparently) had a serum injected by Kraven that made him more monstrous.
(And by the audio from the PS5 SM2 cover plate trailer how Peter and Miles try to get the symbiote off Peter)
So it COULD very well be that Venom is a temporarily amplified Symbiote-Suit Peter.

I personally don't really see Insomniac adapting anything like Knull or the Spider-Verse, two really big stories that I see people talking about being adapted in this universe. My reasoning is that Insomniac themselves have stated in the past that they want to keep these games a bit more grounded; of course they are superhero stories so they are fantastical by nature, but I don't think they'd want to have anything too out there like the multiverse or a full on alien invasion. They probably will include major references to these storylines as Easter Eggs, but I don't think they'll actually make them into the focal point of the story or anything like that.

Knull being in the game doesn’t make sense to me if there’s no Eddie Brock Venom. It seems like a cool little Easter egg BUT, Nadji did say there was going to be Symbiotes everywhere.

I feel like 24hour main game would be realistic and to add longer dlcs because the others were short so if I get 8 hours in dlc it would be a perfect run of 32 hours in my opinion

The run time is completely justified and we are already spoiled enough with all the new mechanics, locations and upgrades. Can’t wait to get my hands on this game and every thing it has to offer.
That military inspired suit at the beginning looks awesome and inspired by falcon’s MCU first appearance design. I LOVE it!!

I’m kind of glad that this game isn’t a 100 experience just for the story mode. I can’t even fathom a story for spider-man that takes that much time to tell from start to finish. (Outside of the Clone saga or Superior Spider-Man) Spider-Man 2018 was a nice tight story and it’s not like the game flew by. It was very easy to get distracted and just meander through NYC while you chased some random objectives or side quests. And now we have extra stuff to unlock for both Miles and Peter with potential side missions, collectibles and challenges for each character as well and in two large Burroughs this time

Personally I'd prefer a Ben Reilly arc over a SpiderGwen arc. Much more interesting character and they could streamline that story much better than the comics did (as much as i love the clone saga) lol.
Man I wish we could get Agent Venom in this universe. I'd love DLC where we play as Flash with the symbiote, kinda like Red Hood in the Arkham games. All those fun mechanics just ported over to a character with guns!😊
Don't need a 3rd spider-person, lol, no need for Gwen Stacy, but maybe a wolverine cameo to set up his game and that he exists in the insomniac universe, would be cool

I do think the story should have been 25 to 30 hours. Nothing crazy and 18 hours is nice but I was thinking with Miles and Peter together, 25 to 30 would be perfect. SUPER excited though and cant wait to play the story, Ill be taking my sweet time anyways!

If Gwen is introduced, I hope she’s more like 616 Gwen. I love Spider-Gwen, but I thinks she’s better as a novelty and not a constant
Personally I hope that we don't see Gwen getting powers in this universe, even in her own spin-off. Now don't get me wrong, I love Gwen and really like her as Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider, but I don't think she's a good fit for this universe and the stories Insomniac are trying to tell. We already have both Miles and Peter as Spider-Men which is already a lot, and adding a third playable character with the same powers would be too much imo. She also doesn't really have much to set herself apart from the guys in any way in terms of powers/abilities. Miles has his invisibilty and bioelectricity, Peter has all of his new tech like the Iron Spider arms as well as access to the symbiote in Spider-Man 2, but what does Gwen have that would make her different? She would basically just be a reskin of Peter when it came down to gameplay, unless Insomniac took major creative liberties with her character and added something that made her more unique. I've seen other people saying that they'd prefer other Spiders instead of Gwen, but personally I'd prefer that they just stick with Miles and Peter and didn't add a third Spider character to the equation. I just feel like adding another Spider character would be unnecessary and would feel forced/overcrowd the roster of playable characters; between Miles and Peter we kinda have everything we need anyway and another character would just feel redundant at this point. I'd love to see this universe's version of Gwen Stacy, but I'd hate to see her get powers. She should just be a supporting character like MJ or Ganke imo; still important to the plot, but not in on the main action. Now that being said, it would be really cool to see a Spider-Man game completely separate from the Insomniac Universe set in the world of other Spiders. Like a Spider-Gwen game set in her home world from the comics would be awesome! A Noir game or 2099 game would also be pretty cool come to think of it lol.

I think if they went down a similar route to how the Miles Morales game was done, I think a Gwen Stacy solo game would be great.
Idk if I'm remembering this right but during one of the previews, there was a mission where there was interference from millions of miles away, so a Gwen Stacy game set in her universe would be great if that means it's her.
I know not everyone would maybe want it as it's ANOTHER spider-verse story, but it could be good and Insomniac can be trusted to deliver.
It would give a fresh new map to play after Spider-Man 2 and maybe they can incorporate world hopping in Spider-Man 3. Idk maybe i'm just being hopeful lol

I don't read the comics, well, very few...and the films only give us so much, I would absolutely love for the game to crack open knull. After shattered dimensions, anything can happen and yes, spider-gwen really deserves to be playable at least SOMEWHERE. Hopefully here, or in a Miles Morales type spin off

The length of the first game was perfect for me. I wish Miles game would’ve been longer but I was able to stretch out the gameplay in both games for a long time just by free roaming and doing crimes and bases over again. And also at the end of the first game, I went around and defeated all the random escaped inmates throughout the entire city.

I feel like Gwen wouldn’t add anything special as far as gameplay since she doesn’t have any special differences in abilities like Peter and miles have so I wouldn’t expect her to be added as a playable character

I am very happy about all we saw so far about this game. The length is perfect, and I will have like I had with previous ones, probably 400 hours of just swinging around lol and for Knull and Gwen, I just hope we'll get easter eggs. Those story lines deserve their own story and games.

Decided to go back through on 100% the first game plus all the DLC all the DLC are finished I should have 90% of the story done feeling pretty pumped

Here's some of my Spider-man 2 theories.
(They're wild, crazy, and I don't think all of them will happen, lol.
Albeit, if even one theory comes to fruition, I'll be mad hyped!)
- Miles & Wraith will get the symbiote for a bit.
- Martin Li will get the symbiote and turn into Anti-Venom.
- Kraven will kill someone close to Peter or Miles.
- Kraven will off himself.
(I can see them making it ambiguous tho.
By him jumping off a cliff or something, then we don't see him again. Idk, lol. 🤷🏾♂️)
- At some point during a chapter, we will have to battle symbiote fused villains.
In like a boss rush type of deal around New York.
(ie; Symbiote-Shocker, Symbiote-Lizard, Symbiote-Vulture, etc)
- Final Boss will be the Green Goblin.
(Like how Doc Ock was the final villain in the first game)
