"The woman smelt of pencils"
I remember watching this episode in my university library with headphones on and I burst out laughing, breaking the peaceful silence of everyone studying.
Queen Boomer looks soooo well! Side note, chips are the thick oven chips (like the ones you get in traditional fish and chips). Fries are the skinny chips, like McDonalds fries. So we do use the word fries, but they are specifically for the thin chips
Someone told years ago that those fries 🍟 you buy at McDonald's aren't actually potatoes 🍠 but battered flour. As he was talking to a dilvery man. Who was delivering flour to McDonald's. That's why there always the same shape thickness and length. That's why when you buy Chips they come in different sizes shapes whereas fries 🍟 aren't.
Only use fries for McDonald’s me like haha chips otherwise lol
@@davidneal9368 How old are you?
@@davidneal9368I think he lied lol.my friend made McDonald's fries at a factory out of potatoes. so at least in England they are potatoes mate

I didn’t know he’d passed , he was a legend 😢

@@Ukfairgrounds aww so sad, thanks for letting me know.
@@Ukfairgrounds I suppose it’s like Donald out of Benidorm, it’s awful to know these ppl are gone.
Spermatozoa is indeed the correct term. Sperm is already plural, no need for Queen Boomer's term, as quaint as it is. 😊
"Standing in a field surrounded by over-bloated vegetables, trying to have a good time"
You just described Glastonbury 😂
Sperm is an abbreviation of spermatozoa, we also use the term spunk which is thought to be a bit vulgar, so when you guys describe someone as having a lot of spunk or is spunky we find it hilarious
iv watched all these Friday night dinners but sitting down to watch them with the Boomers royal family hits different in the best way
Fries are still fries here in the UK. It's steak fries ( the larger / thicker ones) we call chips.
That’s what I was about to say. Americans just call every thing fries. While we have chips, fries, wedges.
Same with Americans calling everything cookies. While we have biscuits meaning twice baked and are hard and crunchy, and we have cookies which are soft and doughy.
The language difference of chips and fries is because in the states you guys call every form of chips, fries etc as just "fries" which is incorrect. There are a large variety of potato based foods and snacks which all have different names, like fries, chips and crisps and all refer to types of cut, making process etc. Fries are the thin ones you get at places like Macdonalds and originate from Belgium but are called french fries because they speak french there and there's history to it etc. Chips are like triple cooked chips which are the big chunky ones you often see as others have mentioned at fish and chip shops or in freezer bags for home, and crisps is also a different type of cut and baked, they're crispy etc. We often call fries and chips just "chips" because despite the differences, on a consumption basis, they're just big or small chips but we do acknowledge the difference in wording a lot of the time outside of slang.
My parents raised me in a house, built in an area that land grabbed from a former Cherry tree orchard. Some of the trees in folks gardens were left over from the former orchard, we had one in ours. I spent a lot of summer holidays climbing among it's branches gathering the cherries, which were the better than any you'd buy in stores. It had a crude rope swing hanging from a branch on which I sit on and contemplate upon this strange world I found myself in. After my payrents passed, my sister bought it, set about totally remodeling the house to perfection which included taking out the Cherry tree. I was heartbroken, it was like someone murdering my old best friend. We don't speak anymore, she's even excluded me out her life. Had I bought the place, I'd have kept it mostly as is.
ive weirdly never been so happy to see somones little baby bump 🥺🥺 so happy for you both, times will get easier dont worry queen your doing amazing, love you both glad yous are both good and healthy AND little princess boomer ofc
Fries are reconstituted (mashed) 🍟potatoes - Chips are "Chipped " potatoes.🥔
🏴 *Just for clarification* Mr Brian lad, we call crisps crisps _(thin potato ie Walkers)._ We call fries fries _(French fries ie from McDonald's... Some may call them chips but that's just people who don't care)._ And we call chips chips _(fat version of fries, sort you'd have doing home cooking)_ 😂😂
It's your extended chats that are part of attraction to your reaction clips more than any other reactions. Your dynamic is very interesting from not just what you say but also what you don't.
I like how King Boomkin sits there with a Halloween color scheme shirt.
I'm wouldn't call myself a horse expert but I can confirm they do indeed "clippity clop".
Hilarious! Pumpkin photo shoots is not a thing in Australia!!!! Never have I heard of this hahahaha wouldn’t even know where to find a pumpkin patch.
We still have fries here king boomer. But you chip a potato and also fry it so I understand where fries come from. Short for French fries. They are skinnier versions of our chips.
You never chip a potato and end up with a crisp so im unsure why you would think chips are better for crisps. A better word would be slices as that's what you do to a potato to get a crisp.
The conversation spindle scene is my go to whenever I need a laugh, honestly my favourite scene in a sitcom. It gets me every single time lmao
I loved the argument over whether or not you guys argue 😂😂😂
The whole "pumpkin/autumn/Halloween" thing is largely associated with America over here, it's only really in the past couple of decades that it's made its way over here (Ireland). Ironically though the tradition (and Hallowe'en itself) originated in Ireland centuries ago, where people would carve turnips (pumpkins aren't native here) to ward off evil spirits, and Irish immigrants to the US brought the tradition with them. Hence the Irish sounding name "Jack O'Lantern". There weren't many turnips available in the states so they used what was available: Pumpkins. Sláinte!
Centuries ago? I live with a guy who carved turnips when he was a kid.
I’m in my 50’s and as a child used to carve turnips for Halloween. I am from Yorkshire though😂. My Southern wife pissed herself when I told her. 😁
the uk aint all that fussed about pumpkins haha and halloween..thats an american thing. take me the pub when its halloween haha
Quick, he blinked twice. Send the guards round to protect the king from that tyrannical queen boomer!
A village near us has an apple festival. The home brew hard cider nearly knocked me out.
I think here in the UK way do say fries but it’s usually when they are small and in a specific situation like with a burger, but when buying a battered fish it has to be chips Fish & Chips (big chips).
Fries are the thin chips like you get in McDonald’s chips are thicker chips
Chips are chips, fries are fries. Two different things.
@@101steel4 exactly
In the uk they do say Fries .. just when they are bigger fries they call them chips - ie fish and chips (big chunky fires)
No, we call chips (chippy) chips and fries (McDonald's) fries.
When Martin first mentioned "My family", I thought he was talking about the tv show, as appose to writing "Our family" on the list. But then, that's just Martin isn't it? lol.
btw i just want to clear up what we call some things:
fries = fries
chips = crisps
for us chips are fries that are much thicker
The conversation spindle turns Martin into Mr. Morris.
Glad to see Queen Boomer up and about and looking well.
First- couldn’t miss this series. Honestly I’ve watched it about 5 times and it’s one of the funniest series I’ve seen. I can’t believe u don’t find Jim funny. All the best from 🏴.
Agreed, I’ve watched through this series so many times, even recently, and now I’m watching again along with this channel haha 😆
The beet thing is so true. It gives you a mini shock when you look at your poop. Then you breathe a sigh of relief when you remember you ate a lot of beets the day before.
Also if you eat a tonne of strawberry chewitts.
we call chunky fries chips we call skinny chips fries
Maybe you do.. don't no any English person who calls chips fries!
I can them all chips, doesn’t matter if they’re skinny.
@@Shell2164 I think turtle tits probably just got off a boat!! Dunno how he got 5 thumbs up?! Probably his five mates that came over with him 😂
Skinny’s chips or chunky chips 👍🏻
Why are you lying 😂
7:00
The funny thing is, in the UK, we call chips you make at home, like overn or fried chips 'chips' but if it's fast food one's you eat when eating out, then we call them 'fries'
queen boomer needs to paint the baby bump to make it look like a pumpkin.
If I was a child and my parents took weird family pictures in a pumpkin patch. I'd be mortified. It's like when the family take a Christmas photo and everyone has to wear there Christmas jumpers. Not for me. Lol.
We need the pumpkin saga to continue lmao 😂😂😂😂
“We don’t argue”… then proceeds to argue about arguing
Really proud of you both, taking what life deals you in your stride. Your Daughter will be joining a strong and supportive family unit. Love your reaction videos.
I always liked how Martin going off on Adam about living on the moon made Jonny remember the game from when they were kids, implied they scrapped it because Martin always lost his temper playing it and the 2 kids repressed those memories.
have you thought about making an Amazon wish list for things your family will need in the next year? Then we can contribute without UA-cam taking its slice. I am sure I am not the only one who would love to thank you for making the content you do and giving us such pleasure x
So lovely seeing Queen Boomer I get that bed rest is boring just if you feel tired listen to your body ❤this is an amazing episode thanks King and Queen Boomer
Confirming there are no pumpkin patches and endless pumpkin photos in Australia 😂
Sound is spot on!!
Jims finally got king laughing - this is it, here we gooo
Sperm is actually an abbreviation of spermatozoa the cells which carry men’s genetic material (baby gravy) 👍🏼😂
Glad to see your misses looking so well. You had us all worried for a bit there.
strawberry pictures ,i use to take pictures of strawberry picking , apple trees , pear trees
Frankly, if i lived next to Jim, I'd want to move as well; he'd be a nightmare.
We do say fries here but mainly the thin ones you get at mcdonads, but chips are slightly thicker potatoes
Fries are different to chips!!
CHIPS ARE FRIES. CRISPS ARE POTATO CHIPS👍
Their chips "fries" are thick like steak fries here.
A character from one of the shows you react to King, may or may not have 'suave spermatozoa' haha
If she dyes your hair blue we can call you king bluemer
We call fries- fries. Chips are chunkier. So we have fries and chips and crisps.
Ever been to a wild flower feild? In the countryside and had a picnic or is that a British thing
Hey guys great to see you and hope you're well x
My lovely horse
Running through the field
Running around with a man on his back
Like a train in the night
Callie is looking splendid and healthy today, for halfway pregnant this is good, nice to see her cheerful ✌️❤️🇬🇧
Conversation Spindle: I like pineapple on pizzas.
Firstly, chips are chips, crisps are crisps and fries are fries! Second... what would your daughter think about you guys selling the house...? How about hearing how she was conceived...! And lastly... BEET DAY at culinary school?!!? :'D
Fries and chips ain't the same 😂
Fries and chips are different. If they are long and thin. They are fries. If they are thick and shorter there are chips
Chips have always been chips in England! Doesn't matter size or shape!! Maybe you call small skinny chips fries but 99.9% call it chips!!
I don't say much on youtube, but I feel compelled to speak up on this matter.
Whenever I see a photoshoot of any sort in a pumpkin patch I instantly assume it's some Cleetus from the Mid-West. It's one of the tackiest American things going. Family photoshoots can be nice, but picking some background that's essentially Halloween themed is weird. It's be like having family portraits hanging all year round that have stockings above the fireplace in the background.
The mention of being out of a job saddened me. You lot badly need mandated paid parental leave.
"you lot"?
@@thadtuiol1717 As opposed to "us lot"

The Death Stare of King Boomer everyone, he WILL try to kill you if you even attempt to put ‘Crayola’ crayon colour hair dye in his shampoo!
😠☠️
Pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin… 😂
We don't call fries, chips 😉
Good to hear that the queen doing good
7:20 The word Crisp is derived from the Latin Crispa that means curled, curly, (to curl), originally referring to standard thin cut potato slices that curled when fried = Crisps. Technically originally both could classify as fries as both was fried potatoes just different thickness and shape, you of course get baked Crisps these days so not all are fried.
So much better having speakers than squishing your ears off! EDIT: I prefer the term enthusiast than NAZI 😂)
Hope the Queen and yourself are doing well. Wishing you --two-- three* well.
The Boomers 2nd baby will be conceived at a pumpkin patch
Possibly my favourite episode of the show
As much as I enjoyed the video, to see queen Boomer back made me smile so much 😍
Beets? No guys just no its beetroot, and can someone tell me what the fuck an Americans definition of a biscuit is
We love you Queen Boomer !
Our British choice is superior 😂😂😂😂 chips , as they come in varying sizes , a "chip off the old block"
As in where a piece thst looks alike came from .
A chip of wood from a piece of furniture , as said previous ,may be a small chip ,alike a slither , or a larger slither .
A chip in the glass.. where the glass remains intact ...yet a small crystal like piece can come away.
A crisp ...as in the texture of the item ...the leaves were crispy ,in yhe autumn day , as they hiked through the woods over a layer of leaves.
They crunched underfoot .
😂😂😂😂 so crisps for potato chips , as you guys call em , sounds much more sophisticated 😂😂😂😂😂😂
As also the texture of pies can also be flaky like a crisp that melts as you eat.
Then take fries , yep chios are fried , sausages can ve fried , eggs can be fried , mushrooms , tomatoes , waffles , pancakes, .....
Point is , we cannot go around calling everyrhing fries ....its even worse , fries is a french term .... seen as belgium spoke french .
Only because no-one else has addressed it, yes spermatozoa is the correct scientific term for the little swimmers.
*correct scientific termatozoa
Can't beat a good beetroot sandwich 🥪😋
4th July fireworks plus pumpkins equals great joy😂
There’s actually plenty of water or ice on the moon
Chips are chipped potatoes hence the name. French fries originate from Belgium but someone got confused along the way!
Wish you all the best Mrs bommer xxxx
We do have fries in the uk, but also have chips, two totally different types of chips/fries, chips are fatter . Then as you said chips in the US are " crisps"
Fries are thin, McDonald's style sliced and fried potatoes. This just wasn't a thing in day to day British life 30 years ago. Except at McDonald's.
Now, when looking in tbe supermarket freezers, it's a decision whether to go for oven chips or oven fries.
Wedges and chunky chips (both available as pre-fried oven versions) are different again.
My cousin was in the British Marines and when he came home on leave....his parents had moved ....and forgot to tell him !
Chips and Fries are two different things in the UK. Fries are what you get in McDonalds. Chips are made from real potatoes and are a lot thicker.
Boomer with blue hair.....🤔
Spermatozoa is indeed, the correct name🤓
Queen Boomer classic. " My parents only did it 3 times. It was strictly business " ! 😂
" Pumpkin enema"!!?? OUCH !🎃
I need to watch more tv, I’m always on UA-cam, thanks to you I’ve seen Friday night dinner 😅
I have to agree with Brian on the pictures lol n the pumpkin patch. But I’m British so.
Great to see the Returneth of the Queen. 👸🏻
The Pumpkin Debate made me laugh. The King was getting triggered by the Pumpkin Patch. 👑🎃🤣👍🏼
Did we know KB was called Brian? Oh my...
Pumpkin patches my bloody arse 😵
King boomer kind of looks like brooo Vince Russo 😂
Anyone else have intermittent audio trouble?
You guys are awesome and I’m a new subscriber when you watched the inbetweeners series
Spermatozoa is the correct plural name, spermatozoon is the singular.
Sperm for short.
You could have your own pumpkin business, just like in Forest Gump where they had a Shrimp boat you could have a Pumpkin field….The Three Boomers Pumpkin Emporium
We have fries and chips! Fries are thin, like you get at McDonalds, and chips are thicker. (ie. proper chips)
So good to see you back
Formally king boomer soon to be king pumpkin 🎃 living in his pumpkin 🎃 field with his queen pumpkin 🎃 😂 good to see queen boomer again ❤
you know full well your be standing in the middle of a pumpkin patch anything for an easy life 😄😄😄
