@shydmples Only wrestler I can think of in this wrestling era kind of like him is MJF in AEW. He is young, cocky, and a good looking man just like Gino was.
While I lost interest in wrestling once WWE took over, I grew up with Houston Wrestling with Gino, Mil Mascaras, Junkyard Dog, Midnight and Rock n Roll Express, etc. What a great time in wrestling that was. So many memories going to the Sam Houston Colosseum and watching on TV on Sunday!
My dad and i were glued to the tv on those Sunday mornings, we used to laugh our asses off. Ivan Putski was my favorite, my Dad preferred Superstar Billy Graham. Great memories.
It's a shame Gino never got a chance to electrify the Superstation alongside Tony Schiavone and David Crockett. I think the same of 6'7" David Von Erich cutting a heel promo as NWA champ.
I did not get to see Gino Hernandez on t.v. I lived closer to the Memphis territory. But after watching Gino Hernandez UA-cam videos, he was a world-class, natural heel. I definitely missed a wonderful, wrestling career in Gino Hernandez. He could get heat in a walk-in meat freezer. What a natural heel.
I grew up, in the era, of Memphis wrestling at its prime. I can tell you about (obviously) Jerry Lawler, a young Macho Man, the Road Warriors, the Moon Dogs, Andy Kaufmann story, Jimmy Hart, a young Rick Rude, Austin Idol, The R n R Express, the beginning of Kamala, Jim Cornette, Bill Dundee, etc.
Man, Boesch could promote and Gino could draw heat like few. Gino always having the comeback, even when Thesz announced as the surprise ref. Gino selling the surprise, then saying Thesz should be retired and underscoring the importance of the belt. Marvelous!
Guys, Boecsh wasnt Gino's father, like Gino's mother said "I was only 16 when Gino was born I had no idea who Paul Boesche (a very much older man) even was. Gino and the family started getting involved in the wrestling buisness via Gino's stepfather Luis Hernandez
One of the best heels ever, he could draw heat with look . There is nothing worse than wasting God given talent. I loved this man . He loved drugs, where there is dope , there is no hope.
After watching the Vice special about Gino and the follow up this week about Gino which added more details to the episode, I am a big fan of his. Too bad his career ended so early. IMO, Gino was sort of like a Ric Flair but perhaps the Houston version. Which was prob a great gimmick. Could he have been as great as Flair or as popular as some champions from that era? Who knows but I would have preferred to see him compared to Macho Man or Hogan
Tully Blanchard in an interview (years later) had mentioned he wanted to bring Gino Hernandez with him to the Mid-Atlantic and eventually in Georgia, but Gino politely declined saying that he was happy and comfortable wrestling in Texas.
Gino Hernandez was the real life Tony Montana but was athletic and had wrestling at his first job. Seemed like he was eventually going to go into the drug dealing business.
Gary Hart: "Gino. Please stop snorting cocaine man, you have ahead of you a fantastic future..." Gino Hernandez: "Gary, im like that old Dog: I had everything I could take but not all I want..." Gino Hernandez last talk words with Gary Hart before Gino Hernandez died...
LMAO absolutely not. DiBiase was absolutely perfect for the part, nobody could have ever done it better. Ted as the Million Dollar Man is universally praised as one of the best heel ever, saying "so or so would have been better at it" is absolutely ridiculous and nonsensical.
Gino was just as charismatic & amazing on the MIC as ric flair. I think Gino wouldve made a great NWA World heavyweight champion. The only problem with both Flair and Gino in the 4 Horsemen is that I just dont see Gino accepting his role as 2nd to Flair. Gino would want to be Champ, and he was a more hated heel than Flair which wouldve made him even a better NWA champ than Flair. That's My opinion.
😎 gino Was in deep on cocaine right here he was running a lot of cocaine. That’s why he got killed he was murdered he got in over his head on that cocaine he owed somebody too much money. Gino was the complete package he was going to be a superstar he was well on his way.
Another conspiracy theory that dosent hold up Gino could beat shit out John Royal. .royal wanted gino to help run his buisness cause he fixn go to jail. At time gino died. What he didn't expect was the amount of time he was bout to serve thanks to one his associates who was making deal with district attorneys.n dea.
I will never understand people who say stuff like he was killed by a drug dealer because he owed money. Any business man knows, if you kill someone who owes you money, you will never get paid, he died of a overdose plain and simple.
March 20th Date of Match, With all the Gino Hernandez drama Paul Boesch said Match will be December 20🙂Mr.Boesch gave a different date for match.Gino drama did that.lol
"A fool loses tomorrow reaching back for yesterday..." I love it!
True facts quoted by The Gorgeous Half Breed
Never heard of that saying, dope!
A Donnie Warwick quote . 🔥🔥🔥
Man this dude had a shitload of charisma.
Yeah he did. Great on camera.
@shydmples Only wrestler I can think of in this wrestling era kind of like him is MJF in AEW. He is young, cocky, and a good looking man just like Gino was.
A ton of charisma and no shortage of good looks either, Mr. Wolff. He was pro wrestling's bad boy thru and thru. Good Lord rest Gorgeous Gino's soul😇
Gino just had everything. No one can't touch Gino to this day!

I spent many Friday nights watching Gino at Sam Houston Coliseum. What a great time for wrestling.
Gino was an incredible talent! Just listen how excellent his “Heel Interviews” were! It’s so sad that he passed away so young!
Gino had all the talent in the world
Gino was a great talker.
A great sneaky bad guy.
It's a shame Gino never got a chance to electrify the Superstation alongside Tony Schiavone and David Crockett. I think the same of 6'7" David Von Erich cutting a heel promo as NWA champ.
This guy was so ahead of his time telling Chavo Guerrero sr to go back to Mexico and start a taco stand and his wife can be the waitress 😂
Was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid. I was only 13 when this aired. Only the good die young😐
Gino's real Dad was named Charles E Wolfe
Man the Golden Era of wrestling. I loved it as a kid!
I did not get to see Gino Hernandez on t.v. I lived closer to the Memphis territory. But after watching Gino Hernandez UA-cam videos, he was a world-class, natural heel. Heat in a meat locker...lmao I'm stealing that.
Miss Paul and Gino brings back awesome memories
Man, Boesch could promote and Gino could draw heat like few. Gino always having the comeback, even when Thesz announced as the surprise ref. Gino selling the surprise, then saying Thesz should be retired and underscoring the importance of the belt. Marvelous!
The Handsome Half Breed - God what a Horseman he woulda been - Loved both versions of Dynamic Duo
Gino had too much star power to be watered down by the ego machine that was the Horsemen.
Gino Hernandez often uses cool and intelligent quotes while being interviewed !!
Good looking with gift of gab and had star quality !!!
"A fool loses tomorrow reaching back for yesterday."
I was today years old the first time I heard that old saying.
I used to watch this every weekend
Gino vs Chavo were some of the best matches i have seen in the Sam Houston coliseum, several sellouts. What a fued.👍
I see where you’re coming from, but the resemblance between Paul and Gino was very striking!
Gino's Dad was Charles E Wolfe Sr he lived in Jacksonville Florida while Gino was wrestling.
That's his daddy. You silly mark.
Dwayne probably modeled his mic skills by Gino.
Guess you never watched an iceman king parsons interview
IKP was the absolute one man prototype for three WWE guys called "The New Day!"😉🤔🎤🤼♂️B.W.
And in this clip here you see the pattern for a young man known in 2023 as MJF!😉🎤🤼♂️B.W.
Gino would have had a long and fruitful career with his looks and personality he was a true great ..and paul was a true houston legend
One of the best heels ever, he could draw heat with look . There is nothing worse than wasting God given talent. I loved this man . He loved drugs, where there is dope , there is no hope.
Just a dad and his son hanging out
He def had some juice in front of the camera …. He could have been one of the greats. RIP sir
Gino Hernandez would’ve been a huge as the Million Dollar Man tbh, watching countless videos of Gino, he was made for that gimmick had he been alive.
...yet he wouldn't have been as great as DiBiase.
Gino was so much better than the Von Erich's. He should've been a part of the Crockett era of the NWA
Maxwell Jacob Friedman ( MJF ) must have seen a lot of interviews of Gino . He has patterned his character
Very true
R.I.P.Gino ❤
Looks like the rock got some of his charisma from this guy
Crystal Finally someone says it!
It beats looking at George the animal Steele.

Gino Hernandez last talk words with Gary Hart before Gino Hernandez died...
LA knight gives of gino vibes....if gino could only see the dude now
Gino that's no way to talk to your FATHER!!
Dig 'em both up and do a DNA test!
The Prophet of Rage If you watch the Vice Documentary on Gino Hernandez, that rumor has been disproven.
@@antoniusjohnson3824 i feel ya, but it was more DENIED than DISPROVEN on that doc
rocketHtown ‘Coz Paul knew how troubled Gino’s private life was.
Gino's real Dad was named Charles E. Wolfe Sr.
What a waste of pure talent. No one could piss people off like Gino Hernandez
The perfect heel
The ideal horseman
He would be great with Rick Martel.
Richard McDowell the model and the handsome half breed would be an excellent tagteam!
Chavo did not OD on cocaine. He seemed wiser.
I wonder what Ric Flair thought of him.
Did the Gino feud with Von Erichs happen in Dallas or Houston?
The guy who should’ve been the Million Dollar Man.
DiBiase did a good job. But Gino is more charismatic and had much more of a “cool” aura.
LMAO absolutely not. DiBiase was absolutely perfect for the part, nobody could have ever done it better. Ted as the Million Dollar Man is universally praised as one of the best heel ever, saying "so or so would have been better at it" is absolutely ridiculous and nonsensical.
whose here after watching jim cornette
Gorgeous Gino❣He smelled wonderful
Courtney Katona you smelled him?
@bee boo Or, she got to know him in the 80s. Good for her, if that's the case.
Gino was just as charismatic & amazing on the MIC as ric flair. I think Gino wouldve made a great NWA World heavyweight champion. Man, everybody hated Gino. Dude was Electric
Very green. Over his head!
Paul bosch was deff his dad look at the features
Sorry but Gino's Dad was a named Charles E Wolfe Sr
I don’t care what anybody says, Gino Hernandez, is Paul’s son. They have the same face.

Disproved. Move on.
William Sullivan Not disproven at all.
Gino's Dad was named Charles E Wolfe Sr
The Rock probably was influenced by Gino
"Gino, I am your father". P.B.
Gino's Dad was Charles E Wolfe Sr.
Gino looked like a million bucks...............
😎 gino Was in deep on cocaine right here he was running a lot of cocaine. That’s why he got killed he was murdered he got in over his head on that cocaine he owed somebody too much money. Gino was the complete package he was going to be a superstar he was well on his way.
