@@Orochiiiiiiiiiiiiiii yeah. it's still stable for me. I mostly play Roblox or garry's mod plus nvidia game filter for shaders which consumes more vram. I still get 500+ fps
Thanks for making this video. I'm about to do a deal to get a 1660 Super as a backup card to my 3060 ti. Now I really don't want my current card to puke but I was curious what kind of performance I could expect from this card if I inevitably had to use it & this video came in clutch. Obviously my PC is a little different spec-wise than yours but still gives me a rough idea. Also I plan on upgrading my whole PC sometime next year so as long as I can still game until then I'm good. I'm aiming for a AMD 7700 CPU /7900 GRE GPU but that could change by then. Thanks again. :)
Bro, when I downgraded to a GTX 1660 Super during those mining boom.. it was at that moment I realised how much I missed the card I panic-sold (after the RTX 3080 announcement). That's a good build plan bro. Prices should be decent by then, maybe 7800X3D will be cheaper with 9800X3D coming out. 👍
Nice comparisson with the 4060. As a 1660S user that plays with comp settings in most games, it served me well if the upgrade would be worth it. Solid vid, subscribed.
The thing is that the 1660 super is the "last" 1080p card (along with the 2060); everything after that was pretty much just augmenting performance at 1080p (which is fairly unnoticeable considering anything above 60-100 fps is just a number on a screen) or graphic quality at 1440p, which is irrelevant for most people. GPU progress in technology has gone stale, everything now is just trying to improve performance at 1440p or 2160p, which are absurd resolutions in which you can't really notice that drastic of a difference. The manufacturers simply don't know what to come up with next, so to keep the market active they make you believe you need the latest card (if you want to play at higher res than 1080p), when, really, the technology plateaued 4-5 years ago.
Hi i am about to build a pc my budget is 800$ so can you rate my pc Rx6600( ausu model ) ' 12100F ' 512gb ssd ' 8gb ram two stick ddr4 ' b760 ' motherboard that all come in 650$ and if we include monitor mouse keyboard headphone that will be 800$ I live in India so the prices will be a little higher do you think it's a good build? For 1080p only gaming
I would probably try to change the processor to something like this ($132) - amzn.to/3y65oLE If you are able to.. those extra threads will be really handy for modern games and if you use any upscaling tech.
Yeah I can extend my budget $30 to get 12400F do you think it's a good combo? And a 650 watt psu will be good model name Deepcool PK650D, 650 Watt, 80 Plus Bronze Certified
show games that actually stress the gpu. you showed games which are mostly competitive and they are mostly bottlenecked by the cpu and not even push the cards to their limits. to show the actual performance of the cards show games which are more gpu heavy like cp2077, alan wake 2, horizon forbidden west, etc. this is not a good comparison.
You have a lot of YT channels already doing that, and those single player games rarely update.. so whatever you see on others is most likely the same months later. On the other hand, I focus mostly on competitive live service games, which do update very often (inadvertently changing hardware performance at times). And I actually play these games hence why frametime stability is very important to me. 👍
🟢What do you think of the GTX 1660 Super?
👉 Don't forget to HIT the *LIKE* button, guys! Cheers! 🍻
I'm still using gtx 1660 super and it's rock solid performance.
do you think it can last two more years? i mostly play AAA games at 1080p medium to high settings

true. im gonna upgrade when gta 6 comes out on pc
@@twixxtro that sounds really scary tbh. But I really don't know what are the system requirements for gta 6
I have a 1660 super and i5 10400f any idea why all my games run so bad
The 1660 Super and the 1660 Ti are still good 1080P cards in 2024.
Missed opportunity to call the video"1660 days later"
That's a good one.. 🤣

Thanks for the feedback and support bro 🙂
The fact this beast still keep the same level of performance , if not BEATS the RTX 3050 , speaks levels . it will go down in history
Good idea, I might have to revisit that - GTX 1660 Super vs 3050 😉

And the people who buys are the real clowns 🤡
Anything over 70 frames per second is good enough.
For single player games, yes that's fine.. for competitive gaming, it's lacking.
Lol glad i didn't have to buy a gpu during those crazy mining times. 1660s price went as high as a 4070 nowadays lol.
Those were indeed crazy times.. let's hope we, gamers, don't have to go through that phase again.
@@OverseerPC-Hardware Indeed indeed.
1660s used to be mined, out of warranty in my country cost 120$, new one cost around 220-250$. What a time to be alive, thank bitcoin !

@CommunityClipsCraze PSU will be fine. Next upgrade will be a CPU cooler in case it gets too hot for you.

It manages 30fps on 1080p low Alan wake 2 and 60fps on 1080p low cyberpunk
