I feel sorry for Gypsy Rose Blanchard. So many interviewers seem to be glamourising what she did, and you can't blame her for snapping, since her mother deprived her of a normal life, and constantly lied to her. She deserves the very best going forward.
Before anyone freaks out at you for feeling bad for Gypsy and go “SHE SHOULD HAVE RUN AWAY OR CALL THE COPS!!!” She did several times. Each time she was caught running away within hours and after contacting the cops her mom would strap her to the bed for a month at a time MINIMUM. What she did was not okay but she did feel like it was her only way out. She did manipulate Nick into doing it but he had expressed several times he had the want to kill before Gypsy got involved.
It’s still an unfolding situation, so I’ll tldr it for you. An “investigation” (which has been sus on its own) has been going on since November with the cops announcing they were going after him and GD for suspected drug use due to the word of someone who was already in trouble. He was also being extorted and news around that is still unfolding daily. A lot of people are angry over this and have been because it was bizarre.

I forgot the details but either he or GD was interrogated by police for 10 hours because he was suspected of using weed even after testing negative for it. So he's pressured by police but also shamed by the public who are so obsessed with the purity of their idols/celebs. They both act as if he murdered someone. Stuff about his infidelity came to light as well. Reputation is such a huge thing in Asian culture that it's unlikely his career would've recovered. It's sad but it also makes me angry. I've heard by some in SK that it was used as a cover up to distract from the other sus things the govt is doing
As a south asian person myself, all asian cultures need to chill and go way easier on each other. The psychological warfare and impossible standards need to stop.
