The amount of artwork you have out west is mind blowing. I wouldn't be able to stop walking. There are not many known rock art sites where I live in Missouri. I have a video on my channel of a petroglyph site on the Mississippi River that is usually under water. It took me a while to find it and to catch the river low enough. I really enjoy your channel. Very fascinating.
I wish I knew! I lived in Arizona back in the 80’s. I spent a lot of time in the desert only looking for rock art. I probably walked past signs not knowing what to look for. Now I would look with a whole new set of eyes. Thankyou.
You're welcome, appreciate you watching! A lot of times people just don't realize what they walk or drive over out in the desert, I'm one of those at times as well. I regularly find ATV tracks/dirt roads cutting right through areas with ruins. If you don't know what to look for, it's easy not to notice.
At 19:36, where that black drawing is, it almost resembles a masted ship from the 1400 to 1800s. But this is in Arizona, so that would make no sense. Possibly a newer drawing to the other stuff around as people such as cowboys and others were crossing the area who may have seen a ship on the coast. In Hawaii, where it makes sense, I’ve seen a masted ship petroglyph in a remote part of the Big Island. Thank you for taking us on your adventure. Great video.
Dude! Awesome little spot you found here! So stoked you're branching back out into this realm of vids too! As an early subscriber of your other channel, I def remember some of your early documented adventures in the area and have visited most of them myself!! Like you, I'm always a bit more impressed when I find the pictographs and I visited the spot you went to in the KCW quite a few years back and it absolutely changed my life! Been wanting to go back ever since. Also, the "newspaper-rock" style panel near GM with the 2, 3 and 4 headed humanoids was mind-blowing too! Gonna have to check out more of your vids here and can't wait to see what other amazing finds you'll document! Great work, dude and it'll be no time before this channel takes off with all these types of channels being extremely successful right now! But those of us that know, you're definitely one of the early pioneers in this segment and have been documenting things long before most of them. I'll certainly be following along and spreading the word, brother!🤙😎
Amigo, so good to hear from you! I have big plans for this channel in regards to the ancient cultures that flourished in the Southwest and also Mesoamerica so I'll be doing lots of content here in regards to that. There are some very profound things out there the ancients left for us to contemplate, it's quite special to be able to still experience these places! Appreciate you sticking with us after all this time, hopefully we can share some amazing things!!
Fascinating area, I got lucky. We've had a week of rain and snow so it'll be a minute before I can get back out in the desert but I intend to cover a lot more ground. Appreciate you watching!
Yes, I've done that many times..just walk by by images only to return later and notice them. It usually helps if I've stepped back from the rock a bit.
I concur with your analysis that the area appears to have been a large settlement and like you mentioned, possibly inhabited several times. The kiln find is amazing. Looks very crude. It would be interesting to find out what kind of bones were near the fired area. Thanks for the adventure!
Nope, sure don't and I've almost stepped on numerous rattlesnakes. I almost stepped on one making a video for this channel, the six fingers video. I do a lot of this type of exploring in the winter to cut down on snake encounters but the chance is always there. Rattlesnakes aren't out to get you and most of the time they give you fair warning and generally want to get away from you. So far so good.
Like The Video(s)? Hit That SUBSCRIBE!! Really Helps The Channel!! Thanks For Watching!!
Do It!!!
Very cool. They are remembered.
Wow 😊. Amazing discovery . Strange that there's not more rock art, but those are definitely structures.

Awesome job again brutha, that's some good work! The black writing was pretty crazy and I can't believe you found a kiln, heck yeah!! 😃

Awesome video, what a great find!
Awesome, I would have walked right by it, completely clueless. Next time I wander, I will know what to look for. Thank you!

Bet the landscape was a lot greener then .
Could've been.

The Hopi.
I understand the small flakes for tool making, but why would the pottery shards be so tiny? ❤❤❤ it all.
❤
That paint! How was it made? Why is it not everywhere?
They used Ochres for the paint.
Out in these areas do you wear any kind of snake protection?
