I used to be on the WLPS with Chris West and the others... Just glad that Waugy still has some people talking about her.

Thanks for listening! It was a really interesting lighthouse to cover. Crazy history and such a unique architecture, too.

Side information..... I was able to get a copy of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality mission (which partnered with the US military) to locate, document, and safely remove or detonate unexploded bombs from practice runs made on the Waugoshaunce Light. The teams located a few that were safely removed, most of them were remnants that had came apart already, and at least one that needed the military bomb guys to come and do their thing..... Amazingly, even after taking a few direct hits back in the day, this Lighthouse remains defiant... There are also some visible large dents that were made by the dropped bombs, bouncing off the tower side. The report was a very interesting read. Even after the extensive search/ mission was completed, according to military records there may still be a couple of unaccounted ordinance still in the water, buried under the lake bottom.... Waugoshaunce also boasts the only "Birdcage style" light top, known to be in existence....... Thank you for taking the time to create this video and share it with the world.... From Lansing, Michigan. Wishing you and your loved ones a great weekend.
