Thank you Tyler, the Creator and The Internet for showing me this man early so I could grow with him!
FINALLY A NEWER INTERVIEW FROM THIS MAN
nah fr!
@@erlineandrews thanks for letting me know about The Cookout interview! I didn't know that came out
THIS BROOOO
I FELT THIS KONAE LMAO
@@IsaiahCreates wsg isaiah!
He has the prettiest smile
I love him, he's a genius, this Gemini Rights album took him to a whole new level, I love him with the internet and Ravyn Lenae. I just want to smoke some weed, thrift, make out with him and sing background for him. He's the perfect young artist comprised and inspired by so much, being so multitalented. No wonder "Amber" is such a beautiful gospel build.
Get off the internet
you go girl, Steve is hella talented 🤣🤣
damn girl lmao
🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆..You betta manifest your experience with Steve!!!!!!!!
he only fw with non black dudes
Steve gives me MAJOR Prince vibes, but in a new-age way. He sounds a lot like him on Give You The World… and even his speaking voice is a little similar? Wow.
Yessssssss I definitely see that - he’s like the indie rock version of prince
This album elevated Steve to new heights
proud of him fr
it was so good
I could see Steve being as big as Prince in the future. I'm so excited for him
He need to learn how to dance before he becomes that
That’s wild I was just thinking when I was listening to him how I feel he’s on the way to being the prince of our generation
@@korruptnovellst4751 you never seen him do it seriously so who's the say he needs to learn its probably a choice at the moment
@@theyungdeity3914 bro he got no rhythm
I wish they knew him more. I felt like they were just asking questions I’ve heard the answer to multiple times. Nonetheless, Steve content is the best content.
the production on Gemini Rights is so soothing! proud to be a fan since Ego Death. Still in rotation 4 me
facttttttttts
This brotha’s talent is on a totally different level. One of the TRUE young greats - I’m excited to see where his career will continue to go! 💯
Admittedly I’m a middle aged dad who only got introduced through my kids on this cat. But he’s the real deal. As a musician too I can really appreciate his talent and also the Internet is such a great band. Great stuff.
He’s so reserved. I love it
Gemini Rights is my album of the year
Better than candy paint?
Its so crazy seeing steve lacy now compared to that shy kid sharing how he made his first ep on his phone shyly for ted talks😭
AYOOO STEVE I HOPE YOU SEE THIS ONE DAY!! man i knew it was stamped when the steve lacy ep dropped. "Some" set the tone for me as a fan then you just glided through every song/project you released. the growth is amazing the vocals have elevated and the style is unique you gotta respect it! Definitely reached my top 10 favorite artists ever. And congrats on the 500 milly streams! well deserved
"Some" introduced me to Steve Lacy too! It was actually Amazon Alexa that played the wrong song LOL. Im happy to hear of his new found success.
It's sad he lost his dad when he was ten, but losing touch with his dad's side of the family is even sadder.
I wish him nothing but the best. -He's gives me Prince vibes. Also a Gemini ♊️ I love them both.
Always here for Steve content, bless the man making timeless music
Steve content is always a blessing
Steve just amazes me in every way. His talent is so surreal. I will forever love steve lacy's music.
I listened to the internet heavily in hs, I remember I was so hyped when steve started his solo career, hes always had so much potential and I was rlly happy when he started doing his own thing, and give his music an identity and whatnot. Can’t wait to see him on tour w fousheeee yesirrrr
Even with his microphone educate he shows how much he cares about his vocals and he thinks ahead of how it would sound.. sonically to make it right... He paint with words . This man's album is amazing glad I found it
Y'all need to use social media to source good questions for artists y'all aren't familiar with. Who was this for. I felt like this is the conversation you have when you're left alone with your friends parents.
This interview was cringe . I can’t stand when interviewers on a huge platform brings an artist on the show & don’t know the main background of them .
They been lame lol
thats the whole point of an interview numbnuts. to tell ppl ab who he is
I’m just waiting for nardwuar
fr
I think they inteionally ask things they know the answer to for the show
Steve Lacy is in my home state! #NYC
To have the gift he had at a young age, to be such a contribution to his band that it became a domino effect to other great black artist while becoming his own great artist is a beautiful story.
And he is only 24 today.
steve is a genius and for a guy that’s been writing and producing hits in the background I’m glad he finally getting HIS SHINE❤️
Your PFP is fitting, considering Steve looks like Pootie Tang.
This is my favorite album this year.
I can't believe Steve did Foldin' Clothes! That bass line goes crazy!!
Why Steve Lacey look like Pooty Tang I swear I was waiting for him to say “ wata ta “ 😂
That’s definitely what I was thinking too! No cap or lie!!
LMFKAOAOA BEST COMMENT
SAH DAH TAY!
OH MY GODDDD!!!….
Yes lol!!! Talks a little like snoop too lol
Ebro yelling at the staff for "bad habit" made me spit out my soda hahaha "ay we got bad habit? Yoo!!! Castooo!!!!!! I need Steve lacey, bad habit!!!!" Hahahah
The Internet- Ego Death can definitely now be called a classic album.
Legend in the making 🙌
We definitely needa fund our music programs and keep ‘em alive
He seemed uncomfortable and like he didn’t want to be there, poor thing.
***Realizing he’s shy and reserved*** aww!
I saw that too. Lol then I remembered this interview was done at 6 a.m. Makes so much sense.
@@iozmai yes that too!!
💀
MY MANNNN! I love Steve so much, he’s truly a musical genius
When he named his guitar appearances it was all the music I listen to
ODD FUTURE----THE INTERNET tree is underrated
You can see on his face at around 7:03 how hard it is for him to talk about Mac.
I love her laugh around 5:09. 🙂
Inspiring video . Preciate yall
I really love his music
Steve Lacey I love him and his style he always remember me of Pharrell Williams 💋💓💓💯
Didn’t once mention the amazing rayvn lenae album he worked on
Right! It was phenomenal
TRAGIC
Sheeesh tough interview. Lol Good job on the host of 97 on this one.
first hot97 interview i’ve watched in like 5 years
ebro still suck huh
He’s an amazing human being
Thanks for having my bud Steve on here!
Steve is genuine
Steve is so dope
I love him. He’s special ❤
Ebro thank you for bringing the awareness.
Love Steve!
Lazy journalism per usual. Ebro and Rosenberg barely knew anything about him.
they're trying to help the audience learn who steve is. these questions only help people understand steve lacy and his greatness.
@@aaliyahstewart13 That part I have no issue with. I had a problem with them not knowing this was his 2nd album, not knowing the artists hes worked with and produced for, Ebro barely knew he was in The Internet.
I thought I was the only one who made a comment about that.
@@mileselliotmusic I truly agree
he is so cute and humble
I feel like this guy is the child of Kip and Lafawnduh from Napoleon Dynamite
I am proud to be a Steve Lacy day one
heyyyy🙁you stole my face😅
love you Steve!
Pootie Tang out here living his best life 😂
I was waiting for this comment 😆I didn't think anyone else was thinking it 😁
I thought I was tha only one that just commented bout it 😭🤣
I love Steve Lacy, but these hosts do him (and all other guests) a disservice. They are fairly unaware and ask dull questions that don't move the interview along smoothly. They aren't entertaining and that's especially off-putting considering their time in the industry...embarrassing, really.
This model is so outdated, 'urban/hip-hop' media can do so much better. There are young journalists and music enthusiasts waiting for these opportunities that these tenured talking heads have taken for granted. Truly a shame.
That being said, Steve's music is great and Gemini Rights is a nice showing of his growth as an artist. Shoutout to him for dealing with this press tour lol.
they shoulda talked more about steve and the album rather than other people
Ima find my way here next year I’m manifesting it
Bad habits is a certified banger!!!!
I just love him🥰
RonRon the producer went to Washington prep too. And the dude who made the surf song from pulp fiction intro
Glad he’s finally getting recognition
I agree with u, he’s really good! I’ve listened to him for a long time. He is good friends with Tyler the Creator, Mac Miller, and Frank Ocean who i have been listening to since 2010. I actually met Tyler back in the day.
@@CarterH1998 i’ve been listening to them since Ego Death
Bro is a grammy nominated artist though
@@akiko3726 true, he was still underrated until his songs started to blow up
This is so weird.. I've been an internet fan since it was just Syd and Matt back in 2011. When they added Steve, I thought he already had his big break after he released his solo project. Im so out of touch with the times but im happy to see Steve having his moment.
This just goes to show, keep doing your thing eventually it will pop off
Saaame!
That baby looks tireddddd 😭😭😭
He was!!
Congrats to where he is now!
Gemini rights AOTY🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
he seems so shy
I can relate when he said 4:47 lol 😂
They aint do no research 😂
I’m so proud of you Steve 🤍
YESSIR MR LACY!!?!?
Legenddddd
Picked up my daughter from school and she played this guy song ...
steve lacy should do the meet & greet thing that chris brown & meg the stal is doing try to go the tour this year
All I wanted to know was when is the next internet album!!
Love that man
If I ever become a famous artist I will be referencing Steve Lacy
I have a serious crush on this man !!
Dude is so handsome and talented, looks like one of the Debarge brothers
Steve should do an Apple Music interview with Ebro
Yo-Yo, Taz Arnold and WC went to the Prep, too. Cube transferred to Taft in The Valley.
He's a Gemini very shy and talented like PRINCE
He's so😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Steve's a cold player fasho
He reminds me so much of prince, but for our gen
i love steve
steven i love you💜
“Tyler was talking about the devil and all that.”Lol.
You gotta be careful of your surroundings. One thing I’ve learned from following the young talented Steve lacy
real
Steve Lacy been around for for five years and Hot 97 is just getting around to interviewing him
Yes
More like 7 years if you include the internet
I knew he was gonna be somethin special when I found out he made “dark red” on his iPhone
They where defo tryna instigate something during this interview
Not sure why HOT 97 took so damn long to get dope artists like steve on there
The Prince of this generation
Nah man he’s cool. But he’s not that talented.
Come on! We all know that. But this kid is only 24. Prince welcomed talented new artists. Prince would probably love having a jam session with this kid.
Nah, the Steve Lacy of this generation
I’ve been telling people that. I know it will never be another Prince but Steve has some traits of Prince
Septembersrich is the Prince of this generation. Yeat is the MJ
Him producing folding clothes makes so much sense lmao love that song
mann i missed that show :(
