Hi. I wonder if drillthrough can be use for multiple measure in matrix table. Will the filter applied in each measure reflected to the drillthrough table. Hope you can advise😊
Hey Ain. Drillthrough does the following. It takes the filter context of your current cel, and passes that filter to the drillthrough table. You can achieve it with: - specific columns. If you drag a column as your drillthrough table dependency, only tables that have that column can drillthrough - you can use a measure so that only visuals with that measure will drillthrough to the drillthrough table. Regardless of the method, the drillthrough filters only come from the cell’s filter context. The filters applied within your measures will not reach the drillthrough table. You can however show your measure 📏 in your drillthrough tabel
You are doing an awesome job. I got so many solutions from your videos. But I am stuck at one point. I am creating a sales report for my company. for that each month I get txt file. The size of each file is around 150mb. For that, I also have to combine old data. data for the years 2019,2020 and 2021. now the thing is, I also get patient data. now, I want to give the patient's id. Based on the patient's name and DOB. The challenge is Patient's id should only be given if that patient coming for the first time. if the patient comes again after two years, an old id should be given. One more condition; all patient information should not be included in a data model. I have to delete all columns except the patient's id. How can I do this? please help me. I am stuck at this point for while. Thank you in advance. Keep going.
Thanks Tanayraj, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the videos. The case you're describing does not seem to relate to this video and would fall under consultancy. If you're in need of consultancy you can reach out to me through my website gorilla.bi.
Followed each of the steps very carefully and exactly, but unable to replicate with a simple countrow measure :( - it is still using the active relationship.
Found the issue, it was a prerequisite, the measures with the use relationship have to be included in the 'underlying data' table on the page that you are drill through-ing into.
honestly, you're TOP 3 in succinct delivery for PBI content. Concise and to the point, good examples.
