Nah, I take a Zaku intead to pilot. Sorry, Federation your GM and Gundam might have fancy toys and technology. But, I take the Zaku Design over the GM at least. The modifications and improvements are easier to do on the Zaku than the Gundam designs. Ever noticed that the Federation literally built new designs from scrap each time?
it is possible. using topology optimized metal (titanium or aluminum lithium?) 3d printed parts, carbon nanotube reinforced polymer, transparent alon ceramic as windows, ceramic composite armor, igbt variable frequency drive-controlled (vvvf) 3d printed liquid cooled induction electric motors with regenerative braking and redundant carbon carbon brake discs with topology optimized titanium 3d printed brake calipers with carbon carbon pads like the ones tested by bugatti and digital rotary encoders, adaptive led headlights, a pair of gas turbines with titanium 3d printed parts, ceramic matrix composite and high temperature resistant turbine blades, and carbon fiber fuel tanks. it would have lidar, phased array radar and cameras with artificial intelligence to keep the pilot aware of the mecha's surroundings. the pilot would be in a capsule separate from the rest of the mecha, with something like a heads up display, transparent touchscreen oled panels with mechanical switch backup and a joystick for control, or a vr headset with vr gloves with a mechanical digital or analog (analog may drift) joystick and microled panels as backup. the capsule would have its own batteries in a puncture resistant compartment (only necessary if li ion batteries are used) and would communicate with the mecha and receive its power from the mecha wirelessly, using something like the qi charging standard. it would also have its own escape system similar to the escape system present in the crew dragon capsule, complete with parachutes, retrorockets for landing, 8 hypergolic or hybrid rocket engines, and explosive bolts for separating itself from the mecha. it would have an air conditioning system with filtration and use aerogel blankets as insulation. small mecha could fly on their flown using jetpacks. large mecha would need something like hybrid rockets or something along those lines. everything would be controlled by computers running linux, using ecc ram and risc v, x86 and arm processors with triple redundancy and voting, similarly to the falcon 9 and crew dragon

I'm going to miss Odaiba. There was a lot of cool museums there, and then a center point of Gundam fandom. I recall there was a Toyota showroom, I think also maybe Mitsubishi as well. Plenty of smaller attractions to take a look at around the island. There were also a lot of Virtual Reality, I guess you could call them "arcades" over there as well, they were springing up when I was there. Overall the place was fairly chill with a lot to see. Although the place is pretty cash heavy. You should probably show up with some extra funds saved up for more than just the train rides.
Humanity ultimate dream almost coming true, especially Japan. And this should be remain in the hand of good people, to defend not to attack, to help saving people from disasters, to protect the people from invading countries, to fight terrorists, or even to face any other incoming threats not only from our planet Earth, but also perhaps, from the outer space (such as Alien invasion, if they really exist)

If we can make the individual beam intensity high enough, by combining multiple beams, it can actually do quite a bit of damage.
